Very slick. some look like they could be possible, others, icredibly stupid.
nice job

I wouldnt mind using the controller with the censor pad and controller setup similar to the dreamcast. It looks as if they are acutally using some of the developers from sega help work on the new system. Any info on this would be nice. As I miss the wonderful Sega Dreamcast i would love to see the chance of sega developing systems for nintendo seeing that nintendo bought them out, correct?

Donk » Ännu en Revolution kontroll - 06.20.05 4:10 am
Well I can assure you that Nintendo won’t have a controller that looks like any of those…they are strangely good at keeping things underwraps, even if that isn’t their intent. The first one is obviously fake because it’s so small, it can hide any obvious editing detail. I am also suggesting something to that effect will happen. It would be like a touch screen that changes buttons in different games. I have no idea though.
Mairu - 06.20.05 9:50 pm
oh and just for the record i also made the “other on helmet” aka, the black on helmet. i don’t have my info on there though because it started out as a joke. now it’s everywhere.
Kenton - 06.21.05 12:18 am
It would be cool if there actually was going to be a Nintendo ON.
Zachary - 06.22.05 7:23 am
hello! The revolution has backwards compatability… how are they going to play NES and Gamecube games with no buttons?
Bob - 06.22.05 5:04 pm
because you can plug your Gamecube controller into it and use it for Gamecube games.
flamecondor - 06.22.05 9:57 pm
the 4th one is obviously fake. no nintendo controllers have the face buttons in that order. it’s X
Y A
B
Adam - 06.23.05 1:34 am
My comment is what I´ll have to destroy this site, because you have received the really revolution control and I can´t permit that all the people can know it, I´m sorry. My hackers will destroy this site 24 hours after you have read this.
don´t be angry, it´s only a work.(my work).
Reggie Flls-Aime - 06.23.05 6:12 pm
I think Nintendo will just say “what the heck” and let 3rd party manufacturers make the controllers.
Nintendo will just supply the specs to interface with the revo.
Gamers will have to buy overstocked Gamecube controllers.
“We have NO controller! That’s pretty revolutionary… eh!”
Maybe it’ll include a special Pirate chip that can hijack any wireless controller so XBox360 and PS3 owners will suddenly realise their controllers no longer work on their consoles
anno - 06.23.05 10:26 pm
hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
I have to say nice try, but ive seen it… oh… ive seen… you do “feel certain elements”(hot, cold, wind, and even water which it soakes up from the air when not being played, rumble is included…) there is a gyroscope but like the wifi in the ds… not being used until games can make use of it. ds can be used for controller for certain games (like a ff crystal chronicals format) and its all wireless. when you buy the controllers theres a number on them so you dont have to mess with chanels and stuff. gamershavon.proboards41.com for more info and chating
nintendoemplyee - 06.24.05 8:10 am
Yeah, I doubt Nintendo will let it’s controller leak, especially if they didn’t let the console leak, and all that was a box with a blue line(well and and SMD slot and Gamecube ports) but still… The controller is going to be the cool thing about the Revolution and we’re not going to see it until Revolution announces it(which could actually be at any moment in time). But it’s nice to think about it. My thoughts on it is that it’s either some sort of headset or a touchscreen. I also want gyro-sesors, imagine a raching game with gyro sensors, ur controller would become an air wheel.
What confuses me is why is there only one somewhat realistic concept of the Gameboy Evolution? I hope that’s cool.
Joobot - 06.25.05 11:13 pm
the thing on the top isn´t a controller oO
and the second could be some new gamecube controller
i really would love it if it would be something like this controller with russian text in combi with a headset

I like the fourth down from the top–very cool.
namor7 - 06.26.05 6:16 pm
Yeah, the N21 thing was what first led me here–it should become like a mascot of the site or something.
namor7 - 06.26.05 6:19 pm
You know what would bhe hilarious? If Nintendo knew that so many peopel would leak fake controllers, but then Nintendo tracks down these people and gets the best one to work for Nintendo. Or better yet, just find one that has the Nintendo logo on it and the creator can’t do anything about it.
Joobot - 06.26.05 11:08 pm
The only one that I could see as the controller is the one that is in Russian. But, before everyone gets all technical, think about something obvious. It’s in Russian — why would it be in Russian? If anything, it would be in Japanese — since when is anyone that works on the Nintendo accessories RUSSIAN? If this were real, it would be written in Japanese, and if not Japanese, English. It’s that simple. Therefore, it’s false. Besides, I’ve heard confirmed reports of Miyamoto saying that they’re still working on the controller. He says they’re putting on and taking off different functions. Therefore, they’re not even done yet. However, IF one of those concepts was the controller, it would definitely be the Russian one.
Bryan - 06.27.05 7:11 pm
Yeah, the Russian one is the only one I haven’t found the source of, but why Russian? The low resoultion tells me it is a fake, taking away from any pieces of fakeness. What seriously throws me is the fact that the picture of the Revolution in there is exactly the same as one of the official pics, so it suggests to me it was cut and paste.
Joobot - 06.28.05 11:05 am
well ygyfd non of the controllers on the screen are not real didnt you know that were just putting them on for a good laugh, yea, i mean look at the 2nd one from the top, its pretty stupid and for the ps3 controller ,youll have to keep youre hands around to keep hold of it. id love it if it was possible too make a mind reading one like the 2nd one from the bottom. AND PLEASE IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DEVELOP THESE FAKE CONTROLLERS WITH A PROGRAM PLEASE E-MAIL ME
ILL COME UP WITH A BADASS CONTROLLER WITH MY IMAGINATION.
beerbuster - 07.02.05 7:02 am
i luv that random tiny controller that is symetterical and has two d-pads - no buttons apart from that random green button. i doubt the real controller will look anything like loads of these pictures. you people have too much imagination. focus on what it would probably look like - not what you want or think it would look like damnit
random - 07.02.05 11:19 am
Okay, first of all, YGYFD is a moron and his posts need to be deleted.
Second, let’s think about the price point for the Revolution. The system iteself may cost $200, or so Nintendo says, but what about the controller. I mean, if it’s an insane wireless gyro sensing touch screen then imagine it’s price? Or with all that, wouldn’t it be super breakable? Think about that, dropping ur controller while ur using it’s gyro sensing as a steerign wheel or something and it breaks. I’m real excited to see what’s gouin on and I believe Nintendo will pull it off just right.
And another thing, about YGYFD, what did he mean by CD-Burning stuff? I don’t recall hearing any of the 3 systesm will do it.
Joobot - 07.02.05 3:32 pm
I’m not brawling over consoles at all (’cause I’m a rich boy that’s getting all 3).
Just wanted to let yall know that there are supposed “Nintendo REVO” pics out there, the redesigned version that Nintendo promised.
Joobot - 07.03.05 9:25 pm
Well, damn that pictures look so real!
miguel64 - 07.04.05 1:02 am
yet another controller
again, doubt it’s real, but Reggie just becasue the fans haven’t seen the controller doesn’t mean no one has, meaning it’s done or near done, so we may see a real controller now.
I love the supposed ad where they reflect REVO into Over, and they say to our competitors, “game over”
Joobot - 07.04.05 7:52 pm
look guys i havent read all the comments but from what i can see no one is takeing any notice of number 18 dammit it looks good it is good its GYRO DAMMIT do you peeps know what that is ???? its buatifull you tilt it to move!!!!! ajust the sesitivity aswell, if you wanna go left u tilit it left etc. its soooo cool idea if the n dose that………OMGGGGGGGG
NiNtEnDo MaNiC - 07.06.05 12:53 pm
hey something important that’s right! is a fact that not only developers already have seen the controller! soon someone will post real info about the controller and maybe a screenshot! we have to be attentive!
miguel64 - 07.06.05 2:29 pm
ho yeah. Instead of numbering the controller, describe it better, or the host of this website, number the pics. I liek the one that’s in two pieces but can be connected. It actually looks like a picture. I don’t however understand why the right piece is optical and buttons, two diffrent pieces? The only turn off is there is no D-Pad, which woudl be needed for N64 and GameCube games, but othjerwise I’d woudl have thought it real.
Joobot - 07.06.05 4:47 pm
ooh, YGFYDs posts are gone.
Anyone ever consider this? Maybe they’ll make it so you ahve to use a GameCube controller to play the back catalog games. And didn’t Nintendo say they will enhance the classic games’ graphics? If they’re changing the graphics, who’s to say they won’t change the controls?
Joobot - 07.06.05 6:43 pm
YO THE HOTTEST ONE IS THE BLACK NO BUTTON AT ALL ONE THATS THE ONLY ONE THAT GOES WITH THE IMAGE OF THE REVOLUTION IF NOT THEY MESSIN UP THE WHOLE GENERATION OF NINTENDO GAMING BECAUSE LETS REMEMBER THE COMPETITON ON THE X BOX 360 AND THE PS3
SAZON DDP - 07.07.05 4:46 am
Another thing with controller costs. If the controllers DO turn out to be virtual reality helmets (mock-ups 20, 21) can you imagine how expensive it would be to get a new one or replace one? Also, Iwata said that the revolution would be a ‘SMALL, quiet, and affordable’ console. It looks to me that the helmets would be larger then the system and where would you store them? small indeed.
fizban - 07.07.05 10:41 am
brandons right who cares about the price!!!???
WOW - 07.07.05 12:13 pm
since the rev is 200 dollars cheaper it would be the same as xbox 360 or ps3!!

oo brandon - 07.07.05 12:16 pm
Wow, that was an intense series of posts. I serously doubt it’ll be a VR helmit concidering the failure of the VirtualBoy. And the controller with the connector is the wrong shade of blue now that I look at it, the the one with no buttons is a fuzzy lo res pic, like the Lockness monster, cause they don’t want peopel to spot the fakeness of it. But the controller is out there, somewhere.
Joobot - 07.07.05 2:59 pm
i have seen all of those but there is one this guy on this forum i go on posted it is so fake he mad eit on maya and tried to convince us it was real

You guys might want to hobble over to gamesradar.com to see the actual specs that have been leaked from the patent office. For all you that are too lazy heres a summary. No analogue stick (interesting, they invented it) Buttons are A,B,R,L,start and select, Gyroscopic sensor, touch screen, D-pad…

Ha. I laugh at your joke. I am sorry; I was in a hurry when I typed that last message. What so you think about that patent guys? The one from 2003 that talks about of a controller with a D-Pad, two face buttons, select, start, shoulder buttons, a touch screen, and gyro sensor. That sounds exactly like a GBA, but who knows. It could be fake and it could be Nintendo controlling rumors. But it’s out there. It’s been shown to key developers as Reggi says. I think we’ll see it.
Joobot - 07.11.05 8:59 am
I just realized we’ve never seen the back of the Revolution. Think about that? They want us to assume all they got back there is some standard power and AV cords. But what else could there be? Just some thing to think about.

ygyfd - 07.11.05 3:46 pm
…okay
It’s not so much a matter as someone not being able to afford it as it is how much they’re WILLING to pay for it. A mother is not going to buy their six-year-old son a hundred dollar controller that they just broke. That just may wipe out the six-year-old videogame fan base. Not that that would matter much now but in the future, those children will be less prone to videogames. I’m worried that there is just the one generation of gamers out there and when they die, it’s all over.

I’m glad you said thet Little Observent One. since there is no way to block his posts, let’s just ignore them.
I really want it to be like the second one, the one that looks liek a Dreamcast controller, and the one that’s right below the one that’s nothing but a blue-ish green button with 2 analog sticks. Specificaly the Dreamcast looking one. But if it’s a touchscreen then it HAS to be tactile. imagine how hard it would be to touch the right butons when you can’t find them. For those who don’t know what tactile means, it means you can feel the buttons. In my mom’s mini-van there is a tactile touchscreen panel. It’s flat but it liek shocks you or something so you feel the buttons.

The second from top is the best because i drew it lol. I dunno how it ended up here.
JimbQ - 07.14.05 9:37 am
17/18 and 30 are awesome… but I seriously think some kind of analog stick is needed.
namor7 - 07.14.05 10:07 am
Things to consider:
- The touch screen is unlikely, because pressing “virtual buttons” on a touch screen lacks the tactile feedback that real buttons have, which is quite important. Notice how no DS games so far have done this. There’s a reason for it.
- Other similar schemes that re-map the controller with a new button layout for each game runs totally contrary to Nintendo’s stated “simplicity” mantra. Games are hard enough for non-gamers to control now, just imagine if they had to learn a new button layout for each new game. It’s not gonna happen.
091 - 07.14.05 10:10 am
I found an article on Tactile Touchscreens.
http://www.immersion.com/industrial/touchscreen/
They’re out there. I just doubt it being in a Revo contoroller cause of cost.
Think think think. What could be revolutionary and simple.
Joobot - 07.14.05 11:07 am
Yeah, I’ve seen that. It’s an interesting technology, and it does overcome the main limitation of touchscreens. And yeah, the main issues are cost and power consumption… there are actuators inside a haptic touchscreen that provide the feedback, and those would be hogging power along with the screen, front or back light, and other haptic controls. Doesn’t sound very realistic for a wireless controller.
A tilt sensor, on the other hand, does…
091 - 07.14.05 11:15 am
I’m betting on something along the lines of 17 & 18, with the functionality of 30, where different buttons of light appear, and the whole controller can be touch sensitive.
PiratedTVPro - 07.14.05 4:18 pm
They are all, without question, a load of shite.
Amir - 07.14.05 4:29 pm
For the last time, we know they’re all fake. That shoudl be put at the top of the page… Please no more posts saying they’re fake; it’s general knowledge.
Yay they’re numbered.
I feel the same way 091. But, think about the DS. It’s got 2 screens, one being a touchscreen, and it lasts like 6 hours I think. Tactile feedback though, I’m not sure about power there.
31 looks like it was made in FlashMX. Not that it matters though. I like the silicone buttons that change what kind of button they are and then a sleek, not so obvious touchscreen in the middle. Temperature feedback… I never even concidered that. I think I’ll make my own Revo controller now showing my ideas.
Joobot - 07.14.05 6:35 pm
…I juist thought of something. I remember Reggie sayign in an article “The Revoultion will play NES, SNES, and N64 games. All those controllers are very diffrent. Think of a controller that will support them.” Or something liek that. Did he say anything about the GameCube? The Revo has slots for GC controllers, so maybe the only way to play GC games is with the GC controllers. The controllers are all pretty simple without the exception of GCs X and Y buttons, but if the Revo doesn’t need ‘em then the controller can be very simple.
I forget the SNES controller. Was it liek the DS only without shoulders and select and start int eh middle?
Joobot - 07.14.05 7:13 pm

I bet Nintendo will either reveal they’re controller either once it leaks or a month before the 360 comes out to change the mind of buyers.
Joobot - 07.15.05 12:00 pm
Wow the 3rd to the last picture. Looks like it’s going into war with the Other Consoles. Also, the controllers, well are scary.. Imagine 1 of these controllers is the official Revolution controller :s
I prefer to have #29 and #28. lol
Adrenaline - 07.15.05 2:56 pm
I actually like 29. It’s a hybrid of Xbox and Gamecube. It has the Xbox triggers and Gamecube shoulders. the anaolg sticks are on duel axes like the Xbox, except it looks like one of them is a trackball. and it has the gamecube style A, B, X, and Y buttons and the shared D-Pad. Bundle that with a gyro-sensor and you got yourself a simple and innovative. Look how attractive that simple design is too a novice/no gamer. I know it’s just a concept made by a fan, but it still looks great.
I still wonder if the Revo controller will support Gamecube games or will you need the gamecube controllers since the ports are there.
Joobot - 07.15.05 10:38 pm
here’s my concept. just like 29 only with color and labels.

No one knows. I don’t think Nintendo even knows. They got to get allt eh 3rd party permission and stuff. Mayeb some ‘ill be free and some won’t. That dreamcast looking one I think is great. I loved the dreamcast controller except for the fact taht I alwasy jammed my fingers ont eh triggers. So if that were something liek the Revo controller I’d be happy. I want it to be either like 29 or 14.
Did you hear about Nintendo’s USB Wireless Router? So many Wi-Fi DS user’s ‘ill get it.

The games from NES SNES and 64 will be free to download and the internet capabilities will be completely free as well thanks to Nintendo’s Consideration, It’s much more effecient then XBox Live and PS3 considering its free, the Consoul will be wireless from the Power Source to the TV to the controller there have been reports of people seeing ports on the back of the Prototype but those can only be counted as rumors. If ne one is curious what the big secret is…
You’ll just have to wait until March 23

IBM and ATI r the designers for the Revolution’s Computers both the chips r codenamed Broadway and Hollywood, and if ne one has noticed there is no release on the Revolution’s resolution, and to think that they would design a system without testing and still bring it to E3 is simply…STUPID THINKING… and the names of the chips Broadway and Hollywood, both real life people but seen on screen as flat… My theory……..Read Below

My Theory on the BIG REVOLUTION Holgraphic pojection with gyroscopic interface capabilities and a great extent of customizable game play design that can be left to the gamer, Hint the Broadway and Hollywood names and the lack of information on the resolution of the Revolution (No punt intended)

by the way all the controllers u see with the words NINTENDO REVOLUTION u can already disclude because they have said it is not the name of the system its jus the codename for it, so there wouldn’t be controllers with the prototype name on them

Wow, your mean.

you guys are asses you have no idea how the controllers would be like.
ps3=cool...xbox360=sucks - 07.17.05 12:13 pm
Well, they also said DS was a prototype name.
guys, there is no need to call people names and stuff. This is not a Revo, PS3, 360 war page. It’s for discussion on the controller, specifically the pics on thsi page.
Joobot - 07.17.05 1:54 pm
JOOBOT they said that the DS was a name they were using, not the prototype name and the Revolution is the name for the entire program that they r working on not jus the system, That why it a codename, the DS never had a codename and the prototype didnt change from the actual project, and if u look at some of those controllers they all of diffrent signs and symbols for the name and they r all diffrent from the actual one from the E3 presentation

Could you add mine?

The design is to show off the concept of hooking old controllers into it, to use as a “wireless hub” type thing. The focus obviously isn’t on the actual Revolution game control. The idea is that the controller has enough buttons to work alone for all the old games, but the hardcore gamers can get the true experience of the old games by plugging in and using the original controllers. A lot of us still have our old systems and controllers, and if we don’t, you can buy the old controllers for like $1 at GameStop.
I added the “Red Z” just because I wanted to make it look a little different since I obviously modelled it after a GCN controller. Having two Z’s would be preferable for things like SNES games if you don’t have a real SNES controller. Plenty of other changes could also be made to make it more compatible with the old controller layouts. Again, not the focus of this design.
The reason the ports are built into the controller and not the system: It would be sort of a fake wireless system for old controllers. You would be able to switch controllers much easier this way (because the Rev. controller could be right next to you), and you could sit as far back as you wanted. The Rev. will obviously come with a controller, and you can add as many more as you want since they’re wireless. Otherwise they would have to build two (or more) of each port into the system! Also, the Rev. controller will be needed to jump back to the menu screen to select different games and whatnot. Of course I have no idea what that interface will be like, but you’ll need the Rev. controller for functions like that.
Someone said that the Revolution will have GCN ports built in, so that port isn’t needed…well if you want to play faux-wirelessly it would still have a function (since the wavebird doesn’t have vibration).
Everyone has been speculating what the controller could be, so I made this. Since the “revolutionary” part is supposed to be the controller, it will probably be way different than current controllers. In fact, maybe the GCN port will be so you can play the older games with the GCN controller, since the new controller will be radically different.
I highly doubt they’d build this into the controller, but I think this idea would be great as a stand-alone. Nintendo (or a third party) could make a wireless hub like this with maybe two of each ports on it. Then you could just set the box on your coffee table (or whatever) and have all your controllers plugged in.
