Okay, so that blanket statement isn’t necessarily a universal truth, but then what other factors are there that account for game hype? In this week’s big roundtable-podcast, a group of us try and figure out why we’re excited about the games we’re excited about. Every time we think we find a satisfactory solution someone’s quick to point out the exception to the rule. We talk about games ranging from Halo to Pokemon to Portal and TimeSplitters, so there’s probably something interesting in here for everyone.
