Hideo Kojima’s pet project, Boktai, is getting a third iteration soon. Not much has been released about it, but it looks like it will build upon the first to GBA games.
Personally, I love these games. As with the DS and the DK Bongos, its a new element for gaming and really helps get you into the game. Plus, this one encourages kids to get outside, even if they are video game addicts! Haha. I hope they eventually make one of these for the DS. Check out this Famitsu scans for Boktai 3:
Also, check out these cool scans of Boktai swag:

Well, April is upon us and so are some new games. Not much in the way of Cube games, but there are a couple of definte buys for the DS and a few possible buys for the GBA. My wallet needs a break after March anyway.

Check out this cool (and free) version of Bubble Bobble. For some reason I always thought Bubble Bobble was only the Bust-a-Move game. I didnt know it was an old school platformer. Silly me. Anyway, this game is primarily meant to be played online against others. Its easy and fun to jump onto a server and challenge people.

Well, its always worked for the Gameboy in the past. New colors and editions of hardware sell.
For the past couple of weeks (in Japan) the DS has been lagging behind the PSP. This week the DS has trounced all. So, were people waiting for the new colors? Or, did they just get hyped up and buy it? Either way, its good news. This past week their sales numbers more than doubled from 21,000 to 54,000.

This is not to be used for illegal gaming purposes. Understand, young man?
Check out this site that makes mod cases for the Gamecube (soon) and the PSTwo. Very cool. You still cant run DVDs or anything (well, maybe if you had Linux for the Cube) but you can run developmental software. Guaranteed to void any warranty you may have, but it could be fun!

I know, I know. Its like poké-mainia around here. This image appeared on the net today with claims that its a new Hey You Pikachu! for the DS. Im hesitant to say this with 100% certainty, simply because of April fools. If it is fake though, Nintendo should take notice because it would work really well for the DS.
Anyway, Im not ashamed to admit that I rented the original HYP! for the N64. And I enjoyed it! Got bored of the slow pacing after awhile, but it was fun.
Also, take note of the games graphics. People who complained about the DS’s lack of texture filtering might want to reevaluate their views on the machines capabilities. Otherwise you may get a lighting bolt to the head.

Jay, operater of the now defunct Cube Your Enthusiasm site, said I could mine his site for any cool stuff I wanted to share. Geez, make me do all the work!
Actually, CYE had some pretty cool stuff. So, lets all scavenge its rotting CSS carcass shall we?

As seemingly everyone around me has become obsessed with myspace, this funny spoof is a nice change of pace. And because Im sure he would be embarrassed having everyone read this, Im going to post the message the Douglas wrote when he sent me the link.
I don’t know if you’ve LINKed this before (HAHAHA NO PUN INTENDED) or not… but either way it’s amazing.
Head on over there to check it out. Someone sure had a lot of time on their hands. Hilarious.

Could this actually turn out to be a good game? Well, unlike ‘Retro Atari Classics,’ this one might have a change. Tomohiro Nishikado, creator of the original Space Invader is actually heading up this project.

Ah, see how well that works? Thores has sent me a link to the Meteos Flash game. I orignally posted this awhile ago, but whatever site I pointed to went down. Now its back and just as strange as ever. I have a feeling that playing on the DS will make more sense.
UPDATE: John also sent along a newer version of the game. Same thing only with actual Meteos graphics. Cool.
