The floodgates are open!

[ Main E3 Page ]

[ 4cr IRC Chat ] ? [ 4cr Forum ]

So that the main E3 page doesnt end up being a million miles long, Ill have a comment page for each day.

This comment page will run until the 17th.

[Giddy As A School Girl]

Its almost here. With E3 only days away, 4 color rebellion is going into E3 mode. What does that mean? Well, it means your new homepage should be set to:

www.4colorrebellion.com/e3

In order to provide you with the fastest source of E3 news we can, all info will be posted on that page. We are going to go to a barebones system for the show. I mean, you saw what happened with the deluge of info today…post after post.

So, youll get all the links and news you need without any extraneous info. Of course, regular service will resume after the show.

Besides the E3 page there will also be discussions and E3 news going on at the IRC chat and the Forum. Make sure to check them out.

[ 4cr Forum ]

NOTE: Unfortunately, there will be NO RSS FEED for the E3 page. Wordpress just doesnt work that way. But its worth opening that browser for 4cr, right?

[Its almost here!]

With E3 almost upon us I asked some of the 4cr staff to comment on what they were looking forward to. If you care to hear our senseless ramblings and predictions, follow the link:

[Now Staring At| N5 Mock-Up]

OMG!

This pretty much meets what Nintendo said in the press release earlier this week. I would buy a console that looked like that.

On Nintendo’s official website, they have an article called “Nintendo Reveals Early Details About Revolution

It was said, earlier this week, that Nintendo would use for the Revolution media format a standard double-layered DVD discs but it was changed today.

Nintendo’s legions of loyal fans will be happy to learn that Revolution will be backward compatible, playing both Nintendo GameCube 8cm disks along with its own 12cm optical disks in the same self-loading media drive.

So, i guess this means that they won’t be supporting DVD movie playback. Certainly keeping costs down and piracy at bay.

EDIT: Nintendo announce they will support DVD movie playback

More information on Age of Empires: Age of Kings for the DS has been revealed. It will be turn-based as opposed to an RTS game. Bummer, but it still looks cool.

EA confirmed they were working on a DS version of the new James Bond game. No details yet on the game. However, I expect it to be somewhat like Goldeneye DS, which will be out in about a month.

Nintendo announced Mario Party 7 for the Gamecube, making it the 4th game on the console.

What will they do in this one? The last one made use of the mic. I hope we see lots of new mini games. It must be hard to think of new things for each games. Maybe we’ll see this one at E3 too.

That’s the name of the new Tetris game planned for DS, should be a little different than the other Tetris since it’s going to use most of the DS’s features.

I hope we see it at E3; another puzzle game to my collection.

JeuxPo has yet another unconfirmed bit of news. They are reporting that the new Zelda game for GameCube will be called The Legend Of Zelda : Twilight Princess.

It could be a translation of the japanese title? We will see at E3 I guess.

The French site JeuxPo has some news on a new golf game made by Nintendo. It will not use the Mario franchise, so it must be a more serious game. Anyone remember the recent golf sim Nintendo released in Japan?

[Now Watching| America’s Funniest Home Video]

According to a French site Mario and Luigi 2 is in the works… for the Nintendo DS.
Here is a translation

After a quick success on Game boy Advance in 2003, Alpha Dream gets back to work, this time on Nintendo DS with Mario & Luigi 2. The title will stay in the lines of the GBA version, but will make use of the double screen and the touch screen.

It’s just a rumor for now, but the Paper Mario/Mario and Luigi franchise is an obvious choice for the DS. Here’s hoping for some innovative good use of ‘tactile capacity.’

[Now Typing| The Trivia Questions]

Atlus released the first official pics for the DS racer due out this winter. Looks like we will be having some 4 player single cart snowboarding fun! The N64 version was a blast, in my opinion, and this one looks even better. Can’t wait to try it out

Could this be the Revolution? Could someone have leaked Nintendo’s E3 conference video? Or is this just someones well produced fantasy of what they want to see? 3 days left to speculate!

UPDATE: The man who made this fan video has spoken. He revealed that the video took about a week to make and was simply to show that he could see a lot of innovation in this coming generation of harware. He also says that he did this because he wanted to show that the future of gaming doesnt neccisarily rely on graphical power. Be believes that Nintendo will be the company to really lead the way in innovative technology and he cant wait until E3.
