[Now Working On| NES Typography Book]

Here are a couple of Pacman related memorabilia. The fuzzy things are actually hats that Namco showed off at the recent AOU show. The second one, I believe, is a Nintendo DS stylus that is going to be included with Pac-Pix. I dont know about you, but I wouldnt mind having both.

On anther note, the Nintendo/Namco game Mario Kart Arcade GP won the best of AOU (Amusement Operators Union) award. Pretty cool. Hopefully it does well and we see it stateside sometime.

Rice has released a new Hi-Rez texture loader for Nintendo 64 Emulators. What does this mean? It means very awesome things! Enterprising people can now redo the textures in N64 games and basically change the look of the whole game. Check out this thread for more info and more screens.

Atlus has opened a teaser site for Snowboard Kids for the DS. The text reads ‘NP V191 M05′ which I take to mean it will be revealed in Nintendo Power v191.

SBK Site

Nintendo will be a sponsor at Wimbledon. They will setup kiosks playing Mario Power Tennis and even have mascots entertain the crowd. I have to see pics of this!

People at the Warppipe forums are claiming to have seen a new Metroid Prime Hunters commercial that states the game is ‘coming soon.’ Interesting news, considering the game isnt supposed to drop for months. No official word yet…

The guys over at RoBlog were right when they said, ‘They took the idea of EGM’s psycho letter of the month, expanded it, and turned it into an entire magazine. ‘ Funny stuff.

Nintendo has announced the first bit of wireless love for the DS. Starting tomorrow, Japanese gamers will be able to download demos and updates to their DS through kiosks at retail stores.

The demos, which will be gone once you turn off your DS are:
Meteos demo
Chokkan Hitofude (Polarium) demo

Even cooler is the fact that you can download and save new songs for Band Brothers. Here is the list of new songs:

DK: Jungle Beat
Slider (Super Mario 64 DS)
Ashley (WarioWare: Touched!)
Parthena no Kagami: A Set

This is awesome news! Looks like the start of something very big. Im hoping that in the future you will be able to download demos from any hotspot. Right now I believe this is just using Nintendo’s Nifi connection, but if it goes Wifi and you can download content from home…that would be sweet!

The consistency of the DS advertising is awesome. Ive never seen better ads from Nintendo. The US ones were great and so are these ones.

Apparently, Mario has been putting a lot of time into Resident Evil 4. That would explain why he was been spotted running around the Mushroom Kingdom with a sawed-off shotgun taking out goombas left and right. Rumors even suggest that Luigi has dressed up as Ashley and is running around asking Mario to give him a boost.

Hey Luigi, knock it off! Thats Tingle behavior. Act like that and youll never get your own game. (Unless you want to move into this scary mansion I have to sell you.)
