Chronos Twin

Wandering aimlessly around the net I stumbled upon this cool looking game for the GBA. Chronos Twin is a split screen game where the top ’screen’ is the future and the bottom is the past. It sounds a little strange, but looks pretty neat. You have to solve the puzzles that occur because of the differences in the past and future. I kinda reminds me of Lost Vikings for some reason.

No publisher has picked up the game yet, but I hope someone does. Plus, think of the possibilities of a sequel on the DS. It would be a perfect match.

Visit the developers, EnjoyUp, site for more info on the game and some links to articles and interviews.

Gamefly

Ive never actually used NetFlix or Gamefly, but people seem to love them. It cant be any worse than the ‘no late fees’ scheme Blockbuster is trying to push.

Gamefly is now offering DS games. There is a free trial period you can sign up for and then its $22 a month after that. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Nintendorks has a nice interview with Chris Morris from CNN/Money. He writes the column ‘Game Over’ and handles general gaming journalism for CNN. Smart and insightful.

If I had 20/20 vision I would seriously consider going into the Airforce to fly fighter jets. If you are a civilian there is basically no chance that you will ever fly in a jet. However, Nintendo of Canada is going to give one lucky person a chance! At least, I think that is what this site is alluding to. No real info up yet, but how cool would that be? If only the plane was this one.

NES Portable

I love these things. I wish I had the skills (and money) to take consoles and turn them into sweet portable contraptions like these. Youve got to see them:

Foxtrot

Wow, this is great. Check out these recent Foxtrot strips. Along with Get Fuzzy and Pearls Before Swine, Foxtrot is one of the few newspaper comics I have to read everyday. Great stuff.

Pictochat

Calm down, its not what you think. It is really sweet though. Someone has made a Java based client that works just like Pictochat. Awesome. See Nintendo, you should have done this from the start.

Minority Report

The creator of the EyeToy gave a speech at D.I.C.E. Its very interesting to see how far along this technology is and it makes me wonder if any of this will be used with the Revolution. Gamespy has a write up of the event.

Gyakuten Saiban

Capcom has announced that they will be bringing their Gyakuten series over to the US with a new DS game. While unknown to me, I hear that the games are basically courtroom RPGs. You play as a lawyer and…well, do lawyer stuff, like investigate and litigate. There series is very popular in Japan and Im glad to see that, thanks to the DS, we are getting these kind of unique games.

While the content on N-Sider usually runs cold with me they do have some nice stuff from time to time. Take this article for example. Hitting A Brick Wall is a nice look at the ever growing complexity of games. Writer Jason Nuyens also manages to get the opinion of multiple girl gamers on game puzzles, immersion and controllers. Its a good read.
