I love a good petition. I also really enjoy Katamari Damacy. Not too fond of the controls, but other than that I absolutely love this game. If you agree and you would like to see this game on the DS (and who wouldnt?) then sign away. The controls might even be better with the touch screen.

Maybe Namco will listen. Maybe not. They have been one of the biggest third party partners/supporters of Nintendo as of late. So, sign this petition, it already has over 200 signatures.

The newest rumor floating around is that Soul Caliber will be appearing on the DS. Supposedly it will be a remake of the original. If this is true I wonder if they will put Link in it. Lord knows it helped the Gamecube version sell more than any other version. That and the fact that the Gamecube has no fighting games.

Take a look at this picture of the original Soul Caliber. After seeing what is possible on the DS, I know it could pull off this game. I hope this is true because I love a good fighting game!

Also, Nintendo has opened a teaser site for the DS game Another Code. All thats on there right now is a trailer, but it gives a better impression of what the game will be like. Im loving the art style and cant wait to see more.

[Now Doing| Typography HW]

Remember this? Nintendo filed for a patent and announced a camera a few months ago. Everyone thought it would be a Gamecube EyeToy type of thing, but we still havent see anything. I truly thought this was going to be the secret device that was going to be bundled with Mario Party 6, but that turned out to be a microphone.

On a side note, Nintendo announced that the technology they used for the microphone is available to all developers. This willingness to push the microphone for the Gamecube and the DS also makes me think that there will be one on the Revolution.

Anyway, its looking more likely that the camera will be something for the Revolution. Nintendo has said that the EyeToy was something they should have developed. If you think about it, it really is the type of thing we would typically see from Nintendo. I could also see having a Mario Paint type of application that was ‘Mario Director’ for making your own movies or something crazy.

Guess we will know more come May 17th.

Take a look at my newest toy. Actually, I got it as a Xmas present and have been playing it since then. Of course, Im not very good at all. However, my dog really likes to sing along.

Its strange how people will hear the dog singing (or whatever its called) and say “maybe some of his ancestors were dogs of blues musicians” but you wouldnt ever hear a person (at least in the US) say anything of the sort about a person. People all seem to think they are self made men. And although I generally agree, sometimes I find it hard to believe that some of the things I know and do havent come from a sort of ancestral knowledge that has been passed on subconsciously. Its interesting to think about it, anyway.

Maybe if I practice I can makes some cool tunes for Band Brothers. But, there were certainly no great musicians in my past, I can tell you that.

This design looks pretty familiar, doesnt it? It looks like everyone wants to get in on the portable gaming market. Sounds good to me, the more options and competition the better.

EA wants to make it clear that their buying of 20% of Ubisoft’s stock was not a hostile act. I guess they just saw an opportunity to make some cash off of one of the few other game publishers that are actually profitable these days.

[Now Watching| Hero]

Time for a little movie news. Elektra just opened and although Im sure its better than Daredevil, I probably wont see it. Trailers of Fantastic Four are also hitting. It looks terrible. To take such a wonderful franchise and make what looks to be a horrible movie is such a pity.

Anyway, lots of comic book movies are coming out soon. Sin City, Constantine (based on Hellblazer) and Batman Begins. Im really pumped about Sin City and Constantine. What Ive seen of these two movies it looks like they could be awesome. I am SO glad that they tried to keep the look of the comic with Sin City.

Batman Begins sounds good on paper, but what Ive seen so far has failed to impress. Batmans costume looks ridiculous. Oh well, thats what I thought about the X-Men costumes, but those movies turned out to be some of the best comic book adaptations ever.

This is what I like to see. Planet Gamecube has a new editorial up and its pretty good. This is what I remember from the old PGC. I hope they keep it up because I enjoy their viewpoint when they take the time to express it.

Anyway, this is about the freedom that NOA has from NCL. As most would assume, its not that much. Im willing to bet its a bit more than this article makes it out to be, but maybe not by much. It would certainly be nice to see some more idependence granted to NOA.

Nintendo has released some new vids for Yoshi Touch & Go. I would have to say that this is my most anticipate DS title right now. In the commercial you can see that the game will also use the microphone. Its good to see that Nintendo itself will use all the features of the DS and not just leave it up to wacky games like Feel the Magic.

Oh a different note, I saw some gameplay footage of Yoshi’s Universal Gravitation….and it didnt look to hot. The animation looks horrible. Come on Nintendo, more than three frames per character/object wont kill ya. Plus, I hear that the game just isnt very good and the control is a big problem. Slow down, dont rush products out the door, we know you are better than that.
