I just watched Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time since I was maybe 9 years old, and for the first time ever, The Lion King's number one spot on my list of favorite Disney movies is being questioned.
Seriously, has anyone seen this recently? It's easily the darkest and most mature Disney movie, and the music is beyond epic. I went back and watched the opening song 4 more times after finishing the film
I've seen a number of movies recently, though none of them stand out except for Shutter Island. I thought it was terrific. The music and cinematography of that movie is fantastic.
Also saw How to Train Your Dragon, which was ok, and the Happening which...
Ok, the Happening might have been alright without all the close-ups of Mark Wahlberg giving horribly awkward lines.
And, of course, Sunshine still remains amazing and I want to watch it again this weekend.
Not a movie, but just saw "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake" and I'm an instant fan. Bold, rude, ridiculous, and hilarious, watching it gives me nostalgia of how cartoons used to be before the pussifying of modern TV. There may be hope yet

Probably watched the same episode of Nostalgia Critic I did. I can't beleive how badass that movie is XD. Hellfire?! Forget about it, that made me crap my pants! And the opening number is probably one of the most epic things I have ever seen.
Also got Evangelion 1.011: You are (not) alone on Bluray. Awesome movie, although I'm not sure how much of an advantage Bluray anime is. Should compare the DVD version or something. Great way to get into the series, and do watch if you watched the original series... 0_o It might be a... sequel...?
Just saw How to Train Your Dragon as well.
I think I got really pumped about it with all the reviews going around, and... well, it was good, and some of the shots (can you call them shots in an animated movie?) towards the end were pretty incredible (One where the camera follows him thousands of feet into the air, and he plunges all the way down. Awesome), but seriously, the main characters voice? Just terrible, I'm sorry, but its just so bad.
And still not so sure about 3D. Its cool and all, but it seems to take me out of the whole experience more than anything. I've found that will it, you've got to concentrate on whatever the filmmakers want you too. Which I guess is the point, but it still sucks that I get a headache when ever I want to look at something that isn't the focal point of the shot.
I've seen How to Train your Dragon in IMAX 3D, pretty impressive and loved the movie. But like Steveo said, the voice acting of the main character was just horrible
