I thought that FishPlaysPokemon was pretty much the crowning achievement of the human race (or, at least, kind of hilarious), but something even better has emerged from the depths of the internet. The fish are now playing Street Fighter! As it turns out, fish are better at fighting games than RPGs.
A digital version of Disney Infinity has been released on the Wii U eShop. Normally, this wouldn’t even hit my radar, but – interestingly enough – it has been released as a free-to-play download.
The catch, of course, is that you still need physical toys and the base to read the NFC chips in the toys, but this does offer a potentially cheaper way to check out the game before the launch of the upcoming 2.0 edition.
Plus, if you need a few more Club Nintendo coins, the free download appears to still net you a full 80 coins. Better grab that before Nintendo figures out their mistake.
Finally, I leave you with this mysterious video, posted today by the Pokemon Company.
At first, I was terrified. There’s some grade-A nightmare fuel in there, a layer of creepiness that Kojima’s P.T. could only hope to achieve. But, then, I put in my headphones and watched it with the music. It’s.. kind of catchy. Almost hypnot..ic..
The video is… I’m sorry, I got distracted by the spinning Slowpokes. Yes, where was I? Right. The video was put up as part of “Yadon Paradise,” Nintendo’s celebration of the Slowpoke…
All hail the Slowking.
