Kickin’ it with K. Lynn – Plume
There is nothing like a good Western. That’s why we got in touch with K. Lynn to talk about Plume.
4cr: Welcome to Kickin’ it with. Before we begin, it is time for you to introduce yourself to our audience.
I am K. Lynn Smith, author and artist of the comic, Plume. I am a designer and photographer by day, and comic artist by night.
4cr: You’ve already run a successful Kickstarter campaign for bringing Plume from web comic to print, and you’re now back to create a volume that collects the first five series. Can you please describe Plume to us?
Plume is a webcomic series about Vesper Grey and Corrick, who find themselves at the mercy of the Wild West. They have to hunt down mysterious, mythical artifacts, and dodge the baddies who want to use them for evil, all the while, learning more about each other.
4cr: Since Plume has already reached its main funding goal, are you aiming for any stretch goals at certain milestones?
Yes, our aim now is to raise enough for a hardcover edition. It will have a special cover and never-before-seen goodies inside! But, we still have a ways to go before that milestone is hit!
4cr: How has it been to be working with Devil’s Due on this particular project?
Great! They allow me to hide away in my hole and draw, while they take care of all the nitty-gritty of business. They have been extremely helpful.
4cr: The book itself is set to be sent to backers on February 2014, which is only a couple of months away. How will you manage to have everything ready in such a short amount of time?
I’m dedicated, my fingers are ready! We had to limit some of the pledge options for this very reason, to ensure that we could get them done in time.
4cr: Thanks once again for doing this. Care to add anything else before we sign off?
The support for this project has (and will always) amaze me. Thanks to all the readers and supporters. You’re amazing!
