E3 in Photos: Setting the Stage

After the Microsoft press conference this morning, I thought I would take a walk around the Los Angeles Convention Center. I thought it might be a nice chance to take in the sights before the rush of the next few days. The place is a pretty impressive sight – simultaneously imposing and awe-inspiring. Of course, I had to snap a few pictures.

Continue on, and drink in the sights.

Of course, I have to begin with the badge. I dig the Nintendo-themed lanyard.

The convention center itself is pretty overwhelming. I was expecting something similar to the Seattle convention center, where PAX is held. While that place is pretty huge, it feels small next to the Los Angeles center.

Advertising wraps around the building, as well as several neighboring buildings.

Nice showing for one of my most anticipated games of the year.

I couldn’t take a look inside of the actual halls, but the decorations adorning the walkways are still pretty epic.

It’s also nice to know that Playstation Move changes both “every hing” and “ever thing.”

My personal favorite bit of advertising? The lovely hallway-long Epic Mickey spread. Here are a couple of panels.
