Everybody Ready for E3 2010?

E3 is upon us. What announcements will blow our minds this year? What hidden gems will be discovered? This multi-million dollar spectacle is the prom of a multi-billion dollar industry and it is by this trade show that thousands of people decide what they’re gonna start saving their money for in the year to come. This means that there’s gonna be a ton of super cool stuff to report about at the show and we want 4cr to bring as much of that news to you as we can.

So, let’s take a look at what we can all do as a community to make sure we get the best coverage possible…

First off, if you want the latest news then you should check out our all new E3 2010 page. Here, we’ve laid out as much information as we can in one tight cluster. We’ve separated out a few categories for the news and under each category you’ll find every post and newsfeed item on 4cr that relates to these topics. It ain’t fancy, but when the inevitable flood of news begins next week this’ll be the quickest, most straightforward way for us to show you all the news we’ve discovered so far.

On the sidebar you’ll find our Twitter feed so if the megaton drops at any point during the show, you’ll see it mentioned there the moment it happens. It’ll probably be in all caps too. We’ll also try and keep that filled with the smaller events of the show, like if I end up playing a multiplayer game with Napoleon Dynamite again (that totally happened last year).

And lastly, the Top Contributors section of the page is both an incentive and reminder that 4cr wants more than anything to be a site where all of us share everything. If carpal tunnel, booze, sleep deprivation, or simple oversight causes us to miss an interesting bit of E3-related information, you guys can jump in and share it directly with your fellow rebels. Every newsfeed submission to 4cr that’s E3 related will be tagged and posted on our E3 page and since we know we’re gonna be coming home with more swag than we could possibly want to hold onto, those of you who help make 4cr’s E3 coverage awesomer than it’s ever been before by submitting links and news items will earn the chance to win some of it.

So, now that you know how to get the most out of your 4cr for E3 2010 and since we’re all heading in planes and hopping in cars for that trip down to LA, this would be an opportune time to buy an extra F5 key to replace the one you’ll break from refreshing pages and you should probably pick up a camel pack so you don’t need to leave your computer seat to stay hydrated.

Next year I totally want to go to E3, invite me along and I’ll bring the booze, I sweat and promise cross my heart. This year I’ll drink at home and watch all the updates as it happens. Actually I’ll likely sleep in past tuesday morning, lol. Just wake up, then make my drink, then go about reading all the news.
