Nifflas has a new game! Though surely unnecessary, I should explain to those hypothetical people who are not familiar with the work of Nicklas Nygren why that first sentence is the best endorsement one could give for picking up this new release.

Nifflas is the creator behind the indie classics Within A Deep Forest and Knytt Stories. His games tend to be platformers with a focus on ambiance and exploration while still maintaining the classic gameplay elements which make the playing experience fun. While at its core Saira sticks satisfyingly close to the gameplay mechanics established in his previous titles, it has also greatly expanded upon them. This lengthy demo contains multiple planets, a little bit of story, and some pretty fun interstellar travel.

The full game costs $17 which would definitely not be erroneously spent, but for only $2 more you can get a second license for a friend. Since indie gaming is all about the community I’m sure any of you interested in this game could make use of that deal.
