Hello Player 1

Nintendo released their 2010 Winter lineup today! No, don’t dive in there expecting a Super Mario Galaxy 2 release date. By “Winter,” Nintendo means the beginning of the year.
Of course, there is still plenty to get excited about. The Wii is getting a number of solid 3rd party releases such as Shiren the Wanderer (previewed today), Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, No More Heroes 2, Red Steel 2, and FRAGILE. Endless Ocean: Blue World is the only release from Nintendo themselves, it’ll hit stores February 22nd. For the DS, we’re waiting to get our hands on Ace Attorney Investigations, WarioWare: DIY, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Dementium II, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. The more creatively inclined are no doubt salivating over KORG DS-10 Plus.
Want to download a few more games to your Wii or DS? WiiWare is getting some pretty strong releases like Mega Man 10, Zombie Panic in Wonderland, Super Meat Boy, and Military Madness: Nectaris. If you missed out on the DS release, you might also want to check out the WiiWare port of the first Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney in January. On DSiWare, we’ll be able to download Starship Defense, Link ‘n’ Launch, and the long-awaited Shantae: Risky’s Revenge.
Of course, there is one major Nintendo-published game missing from this list! Where is Sin & Punishment 2? Will it become a casualty like Another Code: R, Fatal Frame 4, and Disaster? Hopefully, the answer is no.
The complete list is past the break!

Jean F on December 15, 2009 at 11:11 am
Wii – the console that never ceases to disappoint.
So much shovelware, so much potential wasted, it hurts.

Picross 3d? Come on, big N!
the.maverickk on December 16, 2009 at 4:05 pm
I should mention that I came across this quote on Wikipedia;
“Boy, oh boy:
After several months discussing the pricing of Cave Story with Nintendo, we could not come to any informal agreement. Therefore, we have no choice but to cancel our nearly-finished product. We will invest our money porting the game elsewhere. We are dearly sorry, and we would like to apologize to all of our fans ahead of time.”
The only issue is that there is no reference to where this quote came from (no news article link) or to who said this. So I wonder if it’s simply some disgruntled person out there messing with everyone.
I left a comment on the official Nicalis blog though about that Wikipedia news bit though in hope of putting my mind to ease. See the 2010 lineup is helping at the moment.

Interestingly enough since posting this piece of news Wikipedia was change a little while ago.
My guess is that random quote claiming the project was canceled was taken down by Nicalis staff or someone else once it was brought to their attention. Not sure if it means anything though. I’ll assume that it being taken off is a good sign though.
