If you’ve been drooling over 3D Dot Game Heroes for the past few weeks, you’ve probably grown attached to the game’s use of voxels (3D pixels). Dutch illustrator Metin “Sevensheaven” Seven certainly has, and his collection of voxel art based on 80’s arcade game characters is pretty stunning.
Check out his Flickr page for the full set, or just click past the cut for a few of my favorites.

These are fantastic. And beyond the mere 3D blocks look I was expecting. Lots of nice fitting atmosphere for each one.

Yeah, these are actually way cooler than I suspected based on the header image. I really dig that Sonic image.

Very nice images. I like the poster-esque quality a lot of them have.

Many thanks for featuring my work, much appreciated. Thanks for the positive comments as well. Great to read that you like my voxel images.
I thought to let you know that the works are available as high quality art prints. More info can be found at http://www.sevensheaven.nl/shop/
