Powetcast Episode 20: Be an Earthling First

Once, two years ago, I went to a little event called the Tokyo Game Show. I’ve been trying to go back ever since. However, fate has conspired against me being able to bring you quality reporting and sweet videos. It looks like it was a blessing in disguise, however, as TGS posted its lowest attendance in four years in the face of hard economic times and — in the minds of some of Japan’s best and brightest — a dearth of creative might. Has the land of the rising sun fallen as the industry leader?

Almost as if to prove the point, the Powet panel talks about all the great games we’ve been playing… Halo 3 ODST, Scribblenauts, Guitar Hero 5…

Hm. I see a pattern emerging.

Also, Michael Bay confirms Transformers 3 for July 1st, 2011. Orci and Kurtzman are out, Ehren Kruger is in. He’s so happy, he’ll eat a bowl of cereal.
