Yarr! Telltale and LucasArts be Bringin’ the Booty
Get out yer eye patches and peg legs, this Saturday is International Talk Like a Pirate Day! It’s that one day each year when all the lads and lasses celebrate their pirate heroes. It’s always a grand occasion, full of grog and pillaging. Telltale and LucasArts have some experience with this whole pracy thing. After all, they’ve spend decades working on the Monkey Island series, which happens to star a certain “mighty pirate.”
They know that you’re new at this whole pirate thing and they want to help out. They are going to share some of their booty with you. This Saturday, you can get a free copy of the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island. Additionally, from today until the 21st, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, is 50% off on the iPhone app store, Steam, and Direct2Drive.
Both are excellent games. If you don’t have them yet, this weekend seems like a great time to grab both.

Well, I’m currently downloading the Special Edition of Monkey Island, last I checked it was at 1 BYTE/s (not mega, not even kilo). Hopefully I will have it before Armageddon renders computers unusable.
