Hello Player 1
Rumor has it that before 4cr was a gaming blog, it was a comics blog. Even so, the announced Disney/Marvel buyout has interesting implication for all kinds of video game properties — and we talk about them!
Grin — the studio that made the recent Bionic Commando games — has folded. Did anyone even know the game came out?
Also: Thomas Dekker confirms TSCC direct-to-dvd rumors (shirtless), and the last episode of Reading Rainbow, all after the jump!

Marvel Divas and “DC Sirens” aren’t really THAT similar despite focusing on female main casts. Divas is fairly sex and the city-ish dealing with the characters (Firestar, Black Cat, Hellcat and Monica Ranbaeu) romantic issues. Sirens focuses on Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn trying to survive in a post-Bruce Wayne Gotham City. And it’s being written by Paul Dini.
Marvel’s got plenty of properties they could market, especially if they were looking to go beyond the standard cape and tights scenarios. A character like Iron Fist would be great for kung fu. Nova or Guardians of the Galaxy would certainly fill the gap for good space epic. Even X-Factor Investigations, a detective agency run by mutants could certainly branch out beyond their current output.
Also, Marvel is pretty much trying to keep out of the Disney Comics thing, and most of their writers have expressed similar views. The less the two connect with each other, the better. I know BOOM! Studios currently has series based off of The Muppets Show and The Incredibles going on, and I’d be more than happy for them to stay over there.
Otherwise, I’m not really all to worried about this relationship. There seems to be no sign of any attempt to meddle with Marvel affairs, and as long as that remains, I’ll be AOK.

Forgot to mention, ‘Gotham City Sirens’ is the actual title of that book.
