Woah! A Famicom Dojo Season 1 DVD in the Wild!

If you paid attention to the site in the past year or so, you should already be pretty familiar with the series. But, for the uninitiated, Famicom Dojo is a video podcast series taken under by the loving hands of Sean Orange from Powet.TV and our very own Japano-daddy, Vinnk. The series focuses on the more obscure history of Nintendo’s earlier ventures, and in each episode, you’re treated to a platter of facts, trivia and skits related to the Famicom and its counterparts. It’s also peppered with some other assorted Nintendo stuff that is sure to tickle your fancy ““ and don’t miss the illustrations by a younger version of yours truly.

Sean and Vinnk have been hard at work on a DVD of their show for the past couple months, and the end result is a beautiful, well-put-together disc that is fit to show anyone. It’s chock full of extras, bonus features (such as videos of Sean annoying people at the Midwest Gaming Classic), bloopers and has the entire run of the season bundled into a neat little package. Plus, they did the whole thing without using an iDVD template, and I think that is deserving of applause by itself.
