From my experience at working in a game store, I can tell you that nobody look at the back of boxes. Nobody like 19/20 persons.

It’s like that awful fake ‘plays like a mystery novel’ sticker they put on the beautiful another code: r box. At least if it was a real sticker I could have pulled it off.

@Amrcanpoet I hope you’re right, but the fact that it has the ESRB rating and was retrieved from NOA’s press site would indicate otherwise.

In the end, what matters is that the game sells well enough to warrant bringing the third title over. I care about the game more than I care about the box it comes it, but they really did fuck up some otherwise awesome art with that blue bar.

I believe that’s the box art for Europe, and not America. It was discussed last week that Nintendo put that bar on there for Europe, as the Brain-Age games have been selling the most heavily.

Actually, NOA – in all its brilliance – does the bilingual box thing in America too (English and French). Even here in Texas, where the two languages should be English and Spanish, if anything.

At least it makes sense in your country. Few people actually speak French down here.

They just slapped it on there so it’d catch the eyes of older ladies scouring the shop in hopes of finding a new Brain Age-like game. If they can’t immediately tell it’s a puzzle game, then they won’t even bother to look at the back of the box.

And I loved the first Prof Layton, so I can’t wait to get this.
