Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll
Something tells me this could be the game that A) brings the Monkey Ball series back to its original glory, and B) finally forces me to take the plunge and get a Wii Balance Board, or in other words, buy Wii Fit Plus. The (apparent) Wii exclusive was revealed today by Sega, and it looks like good fun to me. I never got around to playing Banana Blitz for Wii, mostly because friends encouraged me to stay away. Let’s hope this one is done right.

Banana Blitz is one of my favorite Wii games, the mini games are total shit but the game itself is fantastic. Hopefully this will be just as good.

Banana Blitz is fun, but it’s not good. And the minigames were a really sad thing to have happen.
I hope this new one doesn’t suck! I think it will, but I hope it doesn’t. So far the balance board, to me, seems less intuitive and more difficult to use, the opposite of what I expected when I first heard about it.

Banana Blitz is pretty cheap nowadays you know…and it really isn’t that bad at all (although as said before, most of the mini-games could use some work).
The description on Youtube says “party game” so it’s probably a safe bet that the mini-games will still be in there.
Anyway, if it nails the controls, I’m sold.

Banana Blitz isn’t too horrible. The main game is, for the most part, as good as ever, the controls are great, but the addition of a jump button and boss battles was pretty lame. The mini-games are mostly shit, I never played all of them though, there may be one or two good ones.
