Continuing our dedication to bring you the latest news eventually, yesterday Nintendo of America listed the Gold and Platinum member rewards on the Club Nintendo website. If you’re a Platinum member, you have your choice of either a swanky Mario hat, or a unique downloadable Punch-Out!! title, Doc Louis’s Punch-Out!! Gold members can get themselves a spiffy Nintendo calendar.
Which one will you be choosing? Personally, I can’t pass up an opportunity to get myself a Mario cap (although I would prefer Luigi. Or Waluigi.)
I want Doc Louis’ Punch-Out. Just to be hugged by Doc.

That hat is super awesome - I am sure there will soon be many photos on the internet of people in Mario hats.
Also, you have to have “dedicated to bringing you the latest news eventually” as the best tag line ever.

Had I known Nintendo was going to be awesome and gift us with FREE STUFF, I would have copleted more of those questionaire thingies of theirs. Sadly I only made it to the Gold level - BUT! A free calendar is better than nothing, and plus it’s a Nintendo calendar.

I’m totally getting the Mario hat. When I saw that Club Nintendo of Japan got them last year, I told myself that Club Nintendo of America had BETTER make sure one of the platinum prizes is a Mario hat.
Because I don’t have enough hats as it is. *sarcasm*

I couldn’t beat up Doc Louis - he’s the one Nintendo sidekick who isn’t completely annoying. I went with the hat.

If I could I’d definitely get the Doc Loius’s Punch-Out!! It’s a chance to own a limited edition game that could only be had with Club Nintendo Platinum status. You can purchase a Mario hat directly from Nintendo. You can’t do the same about the Wiiware game.
Besides, we don’t know how many game modes will be on the Wiiware game and I’m guessing those that choose the hat will regret doing so when the game is out there…

I got the Punch-Out one, I don’t have the actual game yet so it should help me decide if I need to buy it or not.

I keep trying to get punchout, but I keep getting an error. I called Nintendo and they said that it’s a problem that they’re aware of and they’ll contact me when it’s fixed, so I guess I’ll just have to wait to punch Doc in the big fat face for stealing my bike.

I want both, but i’m not dying to have either. Curse you nintendo!!! I was never a big fan of punch out, but any physical nintendo goods ive gotten just sit in a drawer gathering dust cause i have no use for them. GRRR. thoughts?
