And you know why chiptunes are awesome? The same reason that older Techno and Electronica is awesome. There’s a specific limit set by the technology, and it’s up to the musician to find ways to expand that limit.

Example?

Pocket Calculator by Kraftwerk using a Bee-Gee’s toy keyboard = Awesome.

Pocket Calculator by anyone else using current technology = meh.

I’ve never really liked dirty rom dance because of that garbled mess of noise nullsleep throws in… but with a video that compliments it, it’s not as bad. i love nullsleep so hard, i have both of his albums and i play them CONSTANTLY.

shiro: wtf? it says “dirty rom dance” on his album, unless your making a joke about english accents leaving out the “t”, in which case *wooooosh* over mine and tuck’s heads.

I’ve heard the song before… big fan of Nullsleep. I looooove glitchtune. That video was purely amazing though. You don’t have to trip out to appreciate this.

if you guys are really into this techno stuff, you should check out aphex twin. most current chiptunes (ie this song) are directly influenced (stolen) from his work. warprecords.com
