I got The Conduit tonight, but haven’t had the time to play it yet. I will this weekend, though, so let’s trade our friends code in the comments below — I’ll add mine soon.
Also, let us know what you think of the game. Is it living up to your expectations?

Well. I died more than I thought I would and the ending felt abrupt to say as much as I can without spoilers.

I’ve only made it through the first 3 missions really… so far it’s really exciting. I’m enjoying it to say the least. The graphics are beautiful in my own personal opinion. The only visual gripe has been that I can shoot out lights… which is kind of a bummer… as it was something that could be done in GoldenEye and Perfect Dark and they were produced on much inferior hardware.
The levels and weapons have been entertaining, and challenging enough… the first level I found enemies missed a lot when they were trying to shoot me, but after wards I found they barely ever missed meaning I had to get very strategic. Especially when you have to deal with Conduits which prove to be the most lethal nuisance… and I like that. The regenerating forces have an old school feel for me.
Like how in Mega Man enemies reappeared if you returned to an old screen. Not to mention it makes you think about how you tackle a situation … balancing out killing incoming troops with taking down the Conduits to prevent further enforcements.
I should also mention Kevin Sorbo just makes this game fantastic as well? There’s something about the fact that he is in the game that I find really cool. The kind of cool that is that the guy who voiced Vegeta also provided the voice of the ice Bounty Hunter from MP3 (forget his name).
Anyhow just my little spiel about the Conduit… I’ll add my friend code tomorrow. I want to beat the game first before I get to online.

I preordered the special edition and was going to pick it up today, then, I found out I was broke… I’ll get my copy in a couple days hopefully

At least you had an option for the limited edition version.
I bought my copy at EB Games, and they didn’t have the special edition at all. I paid in full at least so I didn’t have to worry about having no cash for it when I went to pick it up.
I will say that the environments get better with each mission. What I enjoy is how the game goes through a transformation from a degree of realism to a much more fantastical world. If anyone else has been playing through the game, I hope this hopefully they get what I’m talking about.

OK I played a little tonight, Is it just me, or was level 3, I think, the one with 4 portals to destroy at the end. I took me like 6 tries to get that one down.
