Granted, Super Mario Galaxy was a great game, but it was the music that truly shouted “YES! You are indeed playing the best game ever!” At the very least, I hope that the Good Egg Galaxy theme makes it to the sequel.

Thanks for the linkage. I’ve been living with this crappy version of the Galaxy soundtrack (crap game-rip with missing amazing tracks like Gusty Garden). I won’t question the legality- because I have yet to spot where I can buy one of these. Think it was a Japanese release for Club Nintendo members.

I do absolutely love the music of that game. I wish they’d let us buy SMB OST Platinum Edition without importing it for a crazy price.

Its been a while since i played SMG ( never finished it either, uni got in the way ) and im reminded muchly of PSO music in the more ’spacey’ tracks. Same composer or coincidence?

Reminds me a bit of ‘orbital’ too. That game manages to make a few spinning pixels feel absolutely epic in scale
