Hello Player 1

Once in awhile, Nintendo Power will get an exlusive preview of something that just comes out of nowhere. This is one of those cases. A Boy and His Blob, which hasn’t had a new game in the series since the Game Boy version if I’m not mistaken, is finally getting the sequel remake that we’ve been waiting for.
Okay, so it’s not a full on sequel, but at least it’ll increase the interest for this incredibly unique game. And if there was ever a game that needed to be remade, it’s this one. I mean, how far have you actually gotten in the original game? It’s so confusing!
Oh, and Wayforward, developer of the phenomenal Contra 4 and Lit, is developing it, so you can expect a high quality product.

I absolutely hated the NES game (even moreso the s***-tastic GB version). Wayforward will have to perform a miracle for me to pick this up.

I’ll get it just because it’s so damn pretty.

The screens of this made me smile
I’ve never played the NES game so I don’t know much about it, hopefully it plays as pretty as it looks.

I wonder how they’ll streamline it for the new generation of gamers. The art really is quite nice though. Rarely any noteworthy 2D games anymore. Nice to see a recognizable brand carrying the torch.

reminds me of a similar art style to the Mother/Earthbound series

This game isn’t a remake. It’s a sequel. The producer said so in a recent interview with IGN. So, even more reasons to be excited!

There was a DS remake that was mercifully killed a few years ago.
