Fun For Free – Circuit Breaker

Actual picture of me winning.

Sorry for being late, the spring semester just started and I was preparing and packing all last week.

Anyway, this week’s game is a fun little gem created by Indiebird called Circuit Breaker. The goal of the game is to destroy the enemy’s CPU (or HQ) by managing your energy, expanding the area you can build, and by using lasers to destroy enemy bases. It’s a really enjoyable game that very similar to the surprisingly good Moonbase Commander.

TIGsource Topic and IndieBird’s Blog (with helpful instructions)

Also, the finished version of Jed has been released which you can see and download here.

Hi everyone! I’m the guy who developed this thing.

Thanks for the link; I put in a lot of hours into this and was beginning to feel that the game would be ignored.

Squashua, I commented about some of your frustrations on my blog. Feel free to respond; I welcome dialogue.

I’ve patched the game with some fixes and cosmetic improvements. The old download link has the new version, so just re-download to get it. Here are the changes:

- Fixed bug that could cause cooldowns to be longer than intended on slower machines
- Made some of the cooldowns a bit shorter
- Added shield absorption graphical effect
- Made damage effect have more particles
- Prettied up cooldown graphic on buttons
- Made the power connections look a bit more like a PCB
