I have a bit of a confession to make, I’m kind of a Twitter-holic. I spend entirely too much time reading about the boring lives of other people, and just about as much time talking about my boring life. I have no idea why, but it’s addictive. I guess it feeds that internal craving for information in a byte-size and constantly updating form.
Sam Houstin, community manager for gamerDNA.com, understands that craving. He has been calling out gaming companies for under-utilizing that oh-so-important social media for some time now. Sam just updated his blog a couple of days with a massive list of the gaming companies that do broadcast news through tiny little tweets.
Take a look at his list. It’s a pretty exhaustive sampling of the companies out there, along with the personal Twitter accounts for many of their employees. A few of my favorites - Capcom’s Unity Blog, Major Nelson, Stardock, Telltale Games, Naughty Dog, and Valve Software.

I just found out that you use Twitter a couple days ago. I’m stalking, er, following you now.

Twitter is so weird to me, particularly given that it seems like most of these companies use it as a faux-RSS feed.
