I really don’t like this “americanized” look. Eurk.

The character models are awful and do not capture the look or feeling of Tezuka’s character design at all.

I don’t think they’ve done too bad a job of 3D-ising Tezuka’s original character design. They’ll never look the same, because they’ve never really been 3D before, but I can see the resemblance.

The TMNT movie looked a little funny in 3D, but it still turned out to be a relatively good movie

I’m not planning on judging till a full theatrical trailer is released

It doesn’t look exactly like the comic or the cartoons, but I’m fine with it. It’s a new film and a new style of animation and I can still tell who everyone else.
As long as the story fits the feel of classic Tezuka, I’ll be happy.

I think I’ll go play the amazing Astro Boy: Omega Factor for GBA now. Now there was a huge and grand tribute to all of Tezuka’s work and memory.

Looks cool. I liked Astro Boy as a kid, and I’m open minded, so I’ll probably see this.

I wasn’t expecting this one to remain completely faithful to the source material, so I’m not too disappointed. All I can really hope for, now, is that it actually ends up being an enjoyable, if not good, watch.

Imagi’s TMNT movie was the best Ninja Turtles movie. It wouldn’t take much but I loved the look and feel and how they paid homage to the original three, cheesy as they were.

I also enjoyed that it reminded me of Batman: TAS for some reason. Anyhow, I’m really looking forward to Astro Boy. Thanks for sharing the link!
