Little King’s Story – Press Event Gameplay Demo (with video)

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Marvelous Entertainment foreign press event was just that, marvelous. No More Heroes 2 was the big announcement for me, but it would be unfair to overlook the other promising titles shown there. The most charming of these is without question “Little King’s Story”. 4cr recorded a video of the press event and you can watch it below.

I have been following this game since last year and was really hoping they would show something beyond a trailer. They delivered one again. The producer of the game got on stage and showed off the game in motion. It looks fantastic. Like an adorable Starcraft-Pikmin crossbreed.

But my favorite part of this video is Kimura’s closing message, when he says, “I love making cute video games” and that the game was for “all the children of the world”. He was quickly corrected that this game was not only for children. Nintendo needs to work hard to shake that kiddy image; they should start by telling the developers. Regardless of whom it’s for, this game looks great.
