In a press release today, RPG giant Square Enix confirmed their lineup for the upcoming E3. What games made the cut?

No real surprises in the lineup. I’m a little surprised that Chrono Trigger will be playable, but it is just a port of the SNES game. I’m personally looking forward to some news and impressions on Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean 4. What about you guys?
I definitely want to see some more info on Song Summoner. What a ridiculous but cool idea!

No Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. I really don’t think this game is coming out guys. It’s a shame because it looked like Squenix was really pouring a lot into it. Now we’re left with not one Wii game in the E3 lineup…unless they make a few sutprises, but they usually leave that to Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony.

Looking forward to the Star Ocean PSP remakes, FF IV (even if it does comes out in about two weeks), and, of course, anything on Chrono Trigger.

The only one I’m really excited for is Chrono Trigger. But I would also like to see what’s going on on the apparently not cancelled FFCC:CB.

For all the Final Fantasies (3 + 2), Kingdom Hearts (2), and Dragon Quest (1) the PS2 got, S-E can barely get Crystal Bearers on the Wii out? And the only other stuff they got is Chocobo and DQS? That’s abysmal and totally unfair. By year three they better be laying AAA games on the Wii to no end.

$5 for Song Summoner is quite possibly the most amazing video game bargain around.
It’s like Final Fantasy Tactics that using music to create your characters. I actually spent more time playing it than FFTA2 yesterday.

Yeah I’m sorry but square enix has shown little support in terms of making games for Nintendo.
They have no problem recreating old games for the DS, or offshoot games of their big franchises for the DS (which really makes no sense… I mean Kingdom Hearts has been a PS2 series game, yet it has it’s sequels/filler games on the DS… same for FFXII: Revenant Wings… I mean FFXII was never on a Nintendo system) but when it comes to fulfilling the promise of continuing at least the Crystal Chronicles game they don’t seem to be making as much of an effort.
Although I wonder if they decided to hold off on the Crystal Chronicles series because of tough reviews given to Ring of Fates. Which really wasn’t what fans of the original FF:CC wanted anyhow.
