On July 18, Gotham City’s caped avenger takes on the big screen in one of the most highly-anticipated flicks of the year, The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger’s Joker definitely makes the cut as a worthy adversary to Christian Bale’s ninja-trained Batman. As a long-time coulrophobe (ie. someone who’s terrified of clowns), watching the movie’s trailer was enough to put this on my “see with people to cling to” list. It’s been a great summer for movies, and I’m really excited for this one!
Before we get to see it, shady internet sources have leaked a comedic script by Michael Bay for The Dark Knight, one that was ultimately rejected by Warner Bros. Studios. Did Bay actually write this? What was Warner thinking? All signs point to “fake!”, but heck, it’s great B-rated genius. I’ll let you be the judge.

By no means I’m gonna read that. If it spoiled in any way the movie for me, it’d literally crack this year for me (at least regarding cinema). Be it fake or not, I’m not taking any chances, thank you.
Simply put, this is my most anticipated movie of the year. Ledger is said to be perfect as the Joker, and Wayne/Batman is also said to have changed since the last time we saw it. What could possibly happen regarding Harvey Dent? That is, for me, one of the biggest enigmas. Will Nolan with his team and the cast get to complete do something else after this, given that, probably, Dent/Two Face will not develop fully in this one pick? Maybe all this could be answered during the film.
Just a week and a half to go!

C’mon Dangle, this is obviously fake, and tres hilarious. Give it a read.
Thanks for linking this June, I pretty much fell out of my chair about the glasses and “All of them.”

Why so….Serious? >_> _>

Ah, so tempting, yet so obviously wrong! Thank goodness I’ve got my almighty inner being leading me through the right path!
Yes, it yells “fake” out and out, that is, it is deliberately fake, but anything could happen.
Considering Michael Bay is supposed to be on the helm, it must be a fist-a-thon. After the release it could be an interesting read, to be sure.

Well, sorry about the double post.
That being said, I must step in again, but this time to acknowledge I’ve being an idiot.
Just went on to see how long the fake script is, and, to be honest, I realized the thing is a only a joke. End of story.

Even though they stole a joke from a hilarious Penny Arcade,

this is still pure gold.

ha ha I was thinking the same thing Mookie when I read that part. I was about to say something but ya beat me to the punch.

Ridiculously fake. I can’t believe you guys fall for this stuff. :/
Cedge - 07.06.08 2:36 pm
Cedge, I tell you, it was not that we (or at least me) fell for it, it was that I didn’t even want to read the first line of that thing, just in case it had something supposed to show up in the flick. Yes, that was being disproportionately cautious, but well, I’ve been waiting for this movie for years. In the end, it was just a joke; very funny, by the way.

I can’t stop laughing… how do you hack the internet? xDDDD

Hilarious. Just add a wall-climbing Batmobile and we’re done.
i_am_error - 07.07.08 2:09 pm
This is actually better than anything Michael Bay is capable of.
