Just when I thought it would be another slow news week, Nintendo went and confirmed four new titles for US release. All of these titles are coming by the end of the September, and none are truly surprising. Which titles are being localized?
Wario Land: Shake It (Wii)
The only one that I’m really excited about. It’s an honest-to-goodness 2D platformer on a modern console. You hold the Wii Remote on its side and occasionally shake it to attack Wario’s foes. If it’s anything like the old Game Boy Wario Land titles, I’m hyped. Wario Land comes out on September 29th.
Kirby Super Star Ultra (DS)
A remake of one of the classic Kirby games. New for this version is a collection of animated cutscenes, minigames, and multiplayer. Kirby also comes out on September 29th.
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir (DS)
An adaptation of the popular board game. I have no idea what to expect here, but the press release promises “interactive logic puzzles that use both the touch-screen interface and built-in microphone.” Could be cool. MillionHeir comes out September 8th.
Mario Super Sluggers (Wii)
You know what to expect here. Mario and baseball. If the motion controls work well, this will probably be an awesome game. This one should be on store shelves August 25th.
We’ll probably see more of all of these titles at E3 in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned for more info and screens.

I’ll give Wario Land a rent, but other than that, Wii’s game line-up is a serious snore. I already beat that Kirby when it was on the SNES. The Mario sports games are all pretty much the same.
Oh well, here’s hoping Nintendo announces something awesome at E for All.
/Waiting patiently for Fire Emblem DS, ASH, and Tales DS games to be announced for release over here/

I thought ASH was supposed to be pretty bad.
Anyway, if Kirby has single cart multi, then it’ll be a instant buy from the start. And Wario Ware sounds pretty kick ass.

Looking forward to Wario…
And for those complaints of a poor Summer line-up for the Wii, I don’t think so. Does anyone remember the Gamecube days?
i_am_error - 06.25.08 4:18 pm
@RBEKMONT - It’s Wario LAND, not Wario Ware.
Blood_Falcon - 06.25.08 4:31 pm
@Blood_Falcon - It’s rbeLmont, not rbekmont.
But thanks, if it was another Wario Ware I would NOT be looking forward to it.

YAWN
moving on.

If thus is what they’re announcing before E3, then I’m excited for E3.
Espiox - 06.25.08 5:57 pm
Woohoo! I don’t care about any of those!

I have been waiting forever for Kirby Super Star…

Wario Land 4 on GBA was amazing.
Wasn’t there a Wario sidescroller on DS? Hope this one’s good, looks like the only stand out her cuz Kirby’s just a rehash…but I never did get around to playing all of Super Star.

Argh… still no confirmation on the localization of Soma Bringer…>_

Good to see no mention of Rhythm Heaven DX. That game is just too Japanese for us. Oh well, I’ll import it.

Err Rhythm Heaven Gold…
