@Kyattsuai: Make your way to the eastern part of Veilstone City and examine the meteorites. Each of the four meteorites will change your Deoxys to a different form. Have fun with that!

Wait, it says that we need a wonder card or something. How do we get that?

Also, which attack is the “normal” form and which is the “attack” form? The Defense and speed attacks are obvious…but the rest are not.

So anyone live in the states that want to get one for me?

@MICHAEL: you really just need your Pokédex. you get wondercards when you d/l stuff, so in my case, i downloaded Manaphy, Electivire and Darkrai and i needed to erase a wondercard to download. they are just details on the download like time and day and where.

@D~N: you can use all the attacks regardless of what ‘forme’ u have—its Deoxys that is actually changing formes. Look it up. in his defense form, his head becomes more protected; kinda cool.

By Pokedex, do you mean the basic one you get early on, or the national pokedex later in the game? I never really finished Pearl because finals came up, and I restarted recently.

I’m going to enjoy the look of utter confusion on the face of my local Gamestop guy when I go in to preorder Unreal Tournament 3 for 360 while downloading Deoxys for my copy of Pokemon Pearl

The one you get early on. It takes about 20 minutes to get. A fair warning for people unfamiliar with the series who think they can just buy the game and download the rare pokemon.

20 minutes is better than the who-knows-how-many-hours it takes to get the national one . Thanks for info.

– It’s about 15-20 hours of gameplay if you get a high level (L70+) Pokémon via the trading center early on; getting the National Dex is “beating (the storyline part of) the game”, and I’d imagine that Nintendo wants people who have not “beaten the game” to be able to download and use the Deoxys for beating the game. I am, however, more than a little surprised that they aren’t making the Deoxys go to Pal Park (which *does* require the National Dex) for collection, since transferring Pokémon from previous games requires that, and there are equally rare Pokémon acquired through that method.

Yet again U.K. fans miss out again! The last event we had here was for Mew and was incredibly badly advertised, I heard nothing from Nintendo,(I’m signed up for emails etc.). All of my friends missed it, although to be fair a 200 mile round trip to the place closest to me may be a little excessive even for a mew.
I resigned to yet again never being able to complete my pokedex, a Darkrai event hasn’t been mentioned yet!
Right I’m off for a cup of tea and a good old grumble!
