Look at all those games! Aren’t you glad that the Wiiware channel is finally here? XBLA was draining all my money, now it’s going to have to share my money with WiiWare

Tried out Lost Winds and TV Show King this morning before work. Both seem very well done.

I wouldn’t have kept hitting snooze this morning before work if I’d've known.
jadenguy - 05.12.08 9:14 am
No Dr. Mario? Ah, well. I’ll try out LostWinds when I get home.
LouieGeetoo - 05.12.08 9:35 am
not enough love for MAJOR LEAGUE EATING: THE GAME.
Darren - 05.12.08 9:59 am
Myst? Seriously?! That snook up on me. Might actually think about it.

We need a WiiWare R-Type game. And by “we,” I do in fact just mean “I.”
Shaun Hatton - 05.12.08 10:07 am
Wait, isn’t Major League Eating a Wiiware game?
EdEN - 05.12.08 10:31 am
I think there’s a new Star Soldier game coming for WiiWare.
Major League Eating? Seriously? Ok…some games just don’t need to exist…
DCSimian - 05.12.08 11:11 am
I just got LostWinds…it’s pretty fun.
I’d have “My Life as King” too, except I don’t have enough space for it right now (*cough* Nintendo).
DCSIMIAN: Yep, Star Soldier R is coming out (I think soon) for Wiiware in the US.
Shaun Hatton: There is R-Type 3: The Third Lightning for the SNES…that game is pretty good actually.

I just played LostWinds for about an hour and a half today.
If you people don’t buy it, you’re seriously missing out on a great experience. Beautiful and soothing, and fun to play. $10 well spent.
Blue_Falcon - 05.12.08 12:15 pm
9th Sage: I have it! Played through it with the different “Force” options. Need more!
Shaun Hatton - 05.12.08 1:08 pm
Got LostWinds! Played for an hour and I think it’s wonderful. Hope it’s not a 3 hour to 5 hour game like I heard rumored online. But even if it is, I think it’s worth the purchase.

I’ve got money to burn (thanks IRS!) and would love to download but I refuse to do so until Nintendo talks about the memory shortage.
Why would they have 4 pages of channels if you can only fill up 3? Did they expect people to only download low-memory NES games? Arrgh!!!!!
Samus - 05.12.08 3:20 pm
Castle of Shikigami III? Oh hell yes.
S. Thompson - 05.12.08 4:10 pm
NO CHO ANIKI?!?!?
FUCK.
gojiguy - 05.12.08 7:04 pm
LostWinds and Myst! Sweet!

I got Lost Winds and it’s an incredible game…
The sad truth is it is too short. One of my fears with a lot of these WiiWare titles is kind of coming to fruit-ation though. Seems like everything is going to be episodic.
Unless it’s just a quick easy simple play and go type game like Dr. Mario or Defend your castle. I’m sure the length of the WiiWare games come from either limitations in the sizes they can make, or the fact that they are graphically superior to most VC games.
Either way it will be interesting to see if WiiWare games improve. I will say though that spending 10 bucks on a game that I can beat within about 3 hours though kind of makes me wonder.

I downloaded My Life As a King yesterday and played it for almost twelve hours. I think I just really like sim-type games. =/
Ian - 05.13.08 1:50 pm
I bought Lost Winds and have really been liking it thus far.
Paul Gale - 05.13.08 6:48 pm
Got FF:CC earlier, and Lost Winds.
I’m liking FF:CC so far, and I’m not even a fan of most Simulation-RPG title thingies.
Lost Winds, as has been said before, is very mellow and nice. Just a lovely all around game.
