If anyone belongs in a good ol’ fashioned shoot-em-up, it’s the Golden Avenger. Think about it, a one-man arsenal in a rocket-powered mechanical suit. How could this not be awesome? Strangely enough, we’ve yet to see a single Marvel shmup. That is, we’ve yet to see one until now.
Just in time for the Iron Man movie, Marvel has added a little arcade-style shooter to their kids site. The awesome part is that the free flash game is actually really good. Its ten levels are over before you know it, but it is addictive enough that you’ll try again and again. If they added a few more levels and a couple more locations, I’d gladly shell out five buck on XBLA or WiiWare for it.
Most of the wimps in shmups have their own spaceships, Tony Stark just has a metal bodysuit. How badass is that? Get out there and give the game a try, I’ll see you at the top of that high score list.
I would buy it too, it’s really a lot of fun.

This is better than 90% of full-priced console superhero games. The sound of the laser was making me insane by level 5 though ahah.

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s party, but I think they would actually have to pay me to play this game anymore than I just did. When was the last time you played a proper shoot’em-up Greg?

Well, in Touhou, not only do little girls fly and shoot lasers, but they dodge almost constant streams of bullets. D:

I hope this game become available as pc game just like call of duty 4, I want to fly like a bird on a 3D game, will be awsome and lot of fun.
