For many gamers, this weekend marks an important date in our history and culture. Today, thousands, if not millions of people from all around the world took part in a tradition that has stood the test of time — eating chocolate! As a professed chocoholic, there are only few such days in the year on which we reap the bounties of this glorious, divine candy: The-Day-After-Halloween, The-Day-After-Valentine’s, and Easter. Friends, that time has come.

Today, we at 4cr celebrate what it means to be both a gamer and lover of candy. Click the link below to witness in awe some of the milkiest consoles ever made. Onward now, to deliciousness!

Nintendo Nibbles:

Flicker user Balakov shaped this masterpiece from the plastic packaging of his Wiimote and Nunchuck. Nice stuff! Coated in white chocolate, these delicacies are sure to taste fantastic. Just be careful when you swallow, since the insides are made of sponge!

Here is a noble effort by Kelanew to make a white chocolate Wii cake. The results were not as expected, but her efforts deserve a mention!

Oh, the horror! Even at its final hour, this brave, chocolate Wii smiles to its doom. Luckily, the confectionary was saved thanks to a little ingenuity.

        Microsoft Mouthfuls:

This delightful chocolate Xbox 360 was made for the X05 event in Amsterdam. Sadly, it is one of a kind. That much chocolate can last me a year! A month, maybe? (Okay, maybe a week…) You can find more shots of this achievement over here!

What’s a console without a controller? The colored buttons are a nice touch!

            Sony Sweets:

Here’s more marketing madness, but when it comes to chocolate, I’m hardly one to complain. Sony kicks off a candy lover’s dream at Italy’s annual Eurochocolate event, with walls of PS3s given to a happy, chocolate-smeared crowd. Check out NeoGAF forums for more pictures!

This PSP is a work of love, and one of the more edible-looking pieces in this entry. Yum!

I have yet to come across a chocolate DS or complete chocolate Wii, but the quest for gaming-related chocolate will never end. Happy Candy Day, everyone!
