Indy IV Teaser

It’s finally here! The teaser trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has hit the net, and it’s a doozy. Lots of Russians, lots of car chases, lots of great lines, lots of Central American pyramids with natives on the hunt, and lots of explosive action in the Raiders warehouse. Somebody pinch me.

[Update] The official trailer is now up! You can catch it after the break in mini-form, but I sugguest heading to Yahoo to see it in all of its HD glory. Don’t miss the quicksand ;)

They weren’t kidding when they said this would still retain the look of the old films. That car chase reminds me of the tank scene from Last Crusade. I know what I’m doing May 22.

I’m glad to see that there’s still a place for a little campiness. Indy IV looks like a winner to me – I’ll have to rewatch the older ones before May.

The only thing I have hear that makes me worry is the supposed leaked script that some said was bad. But then again, if you read any script out of context of the movie, it can sound bad.

BUT, other than that, being a hardcore Indy fan, my keister will be in a theater seat that day.

This is going to rule so hard. I just hope they sneak the first three movies out on Blu-ray before May 22nd.

Looks like it may be a little too CG-ie (is that a word?) I prefer the live action stuff, especially since the past Indy flicks have been mostly live action.

The CG does look like it will allow for some pretty creative stuff though. When Indy and his son are descending the “steps” into that cavern, that looked pretty sweet.

Lucas and Spielberg have lost some of my faith in recent years. This looks to regain it.

I hope this isn’t another case of Episode 1 hype followed by severe disappointment and suicidal thoughts. ;_;

Anyone else notice that the opening music of the trailer is Brian Tyler’s main theme for the Children of Dune miniseries?

This is what masculinity and awesome is when condensed into film form. Seriously. Indy’s like my childhood hero. This is gonna be one of the single greatest experiences of my life.

Lebowski, What CG?? The only thing that looked “CG” to me was the airplane, and that could have just been because there was nice lighting! Looks like an Indy film so far to me!

You boys and girls are silly. Sure they new Star Wars flicks weren’t up to snuff with the original trilogy but they’re still very good films. At bare minimum engrossing, atmospheric, and epic. Just let go of your “in my day” bias and enjoy them for what they are. XD

And to your CG-worriers, never fear, Spielberg has gone on record stating that CG will be kept to a minimum to retain the B-Movie, Serial type feel.

Yay. Oh and Minority Report and Catch Me If You Can were awesome so shhptottt

i will admit that i was turned off by the (apparently) CG indy swinging into the truck’s windshield. he had the distinct look of a CG stand-in. still one of the best ive ever seen, but not perfect.
