Things sure seem to have picked up at the Dojo in these last couple weeks. Makes one wonder if the December lull was just a prank designed to lower our expectations before blowing them out of the water. If so, it worked!

Again, it’s hard for me to express how much I love Sheik. According to the site, her awesome design in Brawl is based on some work that was done during the development of Twilight Princess. Here’s hoping we get to see more of that someday.
The sticker power-ups update turned one of the most boring reveals into an epic aspect of play. Stickers were just a cheap excuse to collect things that could be added to the game easily and in bulk, and without having to design 3D models, like with trophies. Now, however, stickers have made Brawl into an RPG.

I’m very happy about Sheik as well. I didn’t think it would happen, but it did…interesting to think they were drafting up designs of her for Twilight Princess, makes me wonder if at one point she was in the game.

Well, now I know what Sheik looks like. Grr… there’s something I didn’t want to know about until I played the game myself. Does anyone else not like how we’re already going to know so many of the characters before we start playing? I know there will still be hidden characters but damn… I just want to be surprised by the GAME for once…
And yes, I know there was an earlier post about Sheik, but honestly…

Well, you would of seen things like this in commercials anyway, given in Japan all the characters on the site so far have been shown in commercials, complete with big closeup shots and text to make sure you know it’s them and not just “a blob that may be Sheik or maybe Snake or may be a blue Mario”, so there’s no real getting around it if you want to watch TV, or go to any game site that might end up having Smash Bros ads even.

I was happily surprised by Sheik. And I love the trophy+stickers feature. That adds a whole other level of game play. I swear, this game gets better with every update.
But yeah, it you want to be surprised by the game itself, you should probably stay off the internet until the game comes out. Once it is out in Japan, it won’t be too long before the entire roster is spilled onto the internet.

Remember, they’re aiming for 40 characters; and with all those delays, it seems as though they really want those 40 characters.
