In my line of work, I see a lot of Flash games. Sometimes, usually on a Friday, I’ll come across one that will threaten the rest of my work day. This happened today, thanks to Fancy Pants Adventure.
It’s a side-scrolling platformer starring this cute little stick figure (pictured above) who has, you guessed it, fancy pants.
The game’s got a cool hand-sketched art style going for it, which is reflected in both character and environment design. The stage design is pretty cool in that you can build up momentum and fling yourself from platform to platform in a cool Sonic-meets-Linerider kind of way. Also, the music is totally rad.
But enough of my yakkin’. Check it out yourself.

That was pretty cool, is there only level 1 available cos after that6 i kept getting an empty map. Good stuff though!

There’s a World 2, as a separate flash game, and it’s even better.

Also, not sure if anyone has linked the flash version of Portal from this site yet, but it’s very well made and a challenge at the later levels. But most of all, impossible physics fun! (and gives this Wii/Mac owner a taste of what a real Portal experience may be…)

Okay, sorry about this, the comments seem to automatically break long links.
Just delete that space before the “ld-2″ in the link. I’m sure you all knew that anyway.

I played world one awhile back and absolutely loved it, so thanks for the update. This is very reminiscent of M. C. Kids for the NES in my mind, except a whole lot cooler. And the extra trophies and pants colors only extend the game into a deeper experience. a developer needs to pick this up and develop for DS/PSP.

This is one of the best made browser games, in my opinion. I too would love a DS version.
Also, coolest trick ever: Press down really fast over and over again.
