Problem: your significant other is on the way over. You promised her a romantic Italian dinner and an amazing evening. You have no idea what to make, she hated it the last time you made SpeghettiO’s. Well, we can’t do much to help with the romantic evening, but we CAN show you how to make an easy meal that is totally delicious.

Cooking Rebels returns with a flavorful favorite and a video game that is just as spicy.

Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
4x Bell Peppers
1lb. Ground Beef
1/2lb. Spicy Italian Sausage
4x Scallions (can sub onions)
1x Garlic Clove
1x Jar - Marinara Souce
Ground Red Pepper (optional)
Pesto (optional)

Preparation

Brown sausage and beef in a skillet. Slice the scallions and garlic, then mix them with the meat. Liberally add ground red pepper and pesto to the meat mix for flavor. While you continue to brown the meat, carefully cut the core out of the pepper on one end. Wash out the seeds from the inside. Fill the peppers with the meat and place them in an appropriately sized baking or casserole dish. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Surround the peppers with any remaining meat and coat with the marinara sauce. Cover and place in the oven for 35 minutes.

Serves 2-4

Eternal Sonata goes right along with those Stuffed Peppers that you made for dinner. At first glance, the recent Xbox 360 RPG is fresh, exciting. Its beautiful cell-shaded graphics just invite you to dive right in. You can barely wait, you’ve sunk your teeth into the meal before the first cutscene is over. You’re here, and you aren’t leaving until every last bite has been digested.

It’s not just about the crisp, fresh exterior. Beneath the surface, you’ll find a delicious meaty center. Eternal Sonata’s combat system is just as refreshing as its art style. It’s easy to learn, you’ll have no trouble at all with your first few fights. Fortunately, there’s also a ton of depth to it. Fitting with the game’s musical theme, combat has an innate rhythmical cycle. Timing button presses to block or counterattack takes some practice, and does vary between enemy types. Your special moves, as well as the stats of your foe, vary based on whether you are in the shade or the sun. You’ll also have to balance your use of standard attacks and special moves in order to get the most out of your timing gauge. For players not satisfied to hit a button over and over, Eternal Sonata represents a welcome change.

There you go. Want a game with a crisp, fresh exterior? Want a game that follows up with a meaty interior? Check out Eternal Sonata and devour a few stuffed peppers. Mmm… Delicious!
