Hello Player 1

Though I was this close to buying Excite Truck at launch, I decided to hold off as a result of the abundance of ho-hum reviews calling the game a throw-away novelty. It wasn’t until Vinnk started singing the game’s praises month after month in Games Rebels Play that I realized I’d probably made a mistake.
Long story short, I rectified the situation with a trip to Yongsan two weeks ago, and it’s been nothing but hillbilly monster truck mayhem and wannabe Eddie Van Halen guitar solos at the Rumas house ever since. Vinnk was right — Excite Truck may not be the ‘best’ game around, but its fun factor is literally off the charts.
Seriously, I can’t put into words how amazing it feels to, all within the course of fifteen seconds, hit a turbo icon, achieve three consecutive Super Tree Runs, hit multiple jumps for a Jump Combo, then come crashing down right on top of an opponent for a five-star Super Truck Smash. It’s an indescribable feeling of elation.
Unfortunately, as is often the case with ‘lesser’ gems, Excite Truck didn’t exactly set a fire at retail. Rumor has it that the game can be found on sale for $20~$30, and at that price, you’d be insane not to pick it up. Forget the reviewers who’ve lost all sense of what fun really means; Excite Truck is an absolute blast, and no Wii owner should be without it.
