It has begun! In addition to the Trauma Center info Greg posted, lots of cool Nintendo-related stuff is hitting the net in unison with the start of the big show. Without further ado, here it is via GoNintendo, Jeux-France, and Famitsu:
Nights Gameplay Footage
Mario & Sonic Olympics Screens
ASH Scan, Official Site
Crystal Chronicles DS Screens
Nights may be catching a lot of flack for its so-so texture quality and the like, but I think it looks pretty awesome myself. Can’t wait to see how it plays. Same goes for Mario & Sonic — sweet motion controls and I’m there. More soon, so stay tuned!

You know what’s weird.. I’ve played Smb games ever since the nes days and I JUST now realized that Mario sideburns are brown while his mustache is black…hmm maybe I’m just incredibly slow haha (oh and that if sonic and mario were to have a footrace at the olympics that they would tie =P )

Time to prove to everyone that Humans > Hedgehogs

Oh Wow, Nights looks amazing, and it’s so fluid
Can’t wait to try out that game.

Mario can run pretty fast in NSMB, especially with a star. Maybe everyone from the Mushroom Kingdom are actually really fast due to mushrooms.

I’m curious about Archaic Sealed Heat personally; Gimme screens! Interesting to see Sakaguchi making good on the promise he made to develop a DS game a few years back. Did he ever promise a Wii game from Mistwalker?

“Did he ever promise a Wii game from Mistwalker?”
Not that I’m aware of. He recently started talking about a new game they’re working on, but it’s for 360.

i think nights looks great too. smooth and colorful, thats all i can ask for. people who are worried enough about looks to find faults instead of looking at the gameplay arent that interested in this game anyways, they just feel like they should like every game that comes out and if they dont its somebody elses fault. not having some texture-whatever doesnt make a game ugly, it just makes you a graphics whore. that nights trailer was not ps2 level graphics, it was much more lively, smooth and interesting, enough to not get the negativity that it has gotten lately.

Is it me or are the graphics on M&S complete poo?
Hurricane_mario - 07.10.07 2:15 pm
Actually, Walter, what concerns me is the gameplay, and the fact that it looks like it’s from a Spyro or Rayman mini-game I’ve already played. I’m sure this controls a lot better but the depth of the game is a big question mark for me at this point.
Bear in mind before you start berating me for not kneeling before the altar of Nights that the closest I ever came to playing a Saturn game was finding one in the middle of the street, without its case, not looking so good after it had been run over by a few cars, in downtown Saratoga once around 2001 or ‘02. I think it was Virtua Fighter. So I wasn’t amazed by it when it came out, and I have no special reverence for it now. If it’s a good game for 2007, I’ll absolutely buy it, as I did with Super Mario 64, but if it’s just a good game for 1996 with 2007 graphics, I might not.

Nights is coming along good… hopefully i’ll have a wii by the time it comes out!

@Hurrican Mario: I think it’s just you.
@All NiGHTS comments: Me? I’m excited. This is basically the same game from the Saturn, but significantly prettier. Which makes me wonder why so many people on GoNintendo were saying the opposite. I thought it looked great. But perhaps I’m just more excited about then they happen to be.
ASH has me excited just because it is a traditional RPG from Mistwalker…which is pretty much all the geniuses who ruled my childhood with Chrono Trigger and the REALLY GOOD FFs…And for the DS no less. Though I will confess I’d love to see a Mistwalker project for the Wii as well.
Having finally seen more Mario and Sonic screens, my excitement for this game has doubled. I mean, even the DS version looks cool. I’ll still probably try to get the Wii version, but they both look killer.
And hey, more Crystal Chronicles (one of the more recent FF games I enjoy) is always good.

Those graphics look jagged. I’m talking Virtua Fighter 1.
I can’t see myself buying this game. Even Mario and Sonic both being in it isn’t enough to sway me, though they do look cool together.
Random J - 07.11.07 1:01 pm
@ RandomJ: …Yeah, they do look a tad jagged.
However, I’ve discovered that lots of screen shots do, and the games themselves tend to look significantly better in motion. That isn’t to say breath taking (all the time anyway) but I think I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt. Sonic and the Secret Rings was no Gears of War graphically, but is definetly one of the best looking Wii games currently available, and it had a similar problem.
I still think it’ll be a cool game, but I understand your skepticism. I just wanna play a game with Mario and Sonic. This’ll do it for me for now.
