The upcoming Wii title, Boogie, comes with a microphone so we can dance and sing to our heart’s content. What songs will we be singing? EA just let slip the full 37 track list. All of the typical dancing songs are there – YMCA, ABC, etc – as well as tracks by bands like Daft Punk and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. That’s fine and all, but what were they thinking putting not just one, but two, Britney Spears songs on the list?
Click past the cut for the full track listing.

Hopefully this one will bring up some more Wii sales.
Shiro786 - 07.10.07 10:54 am
All oldies except for like… 5 songs? Definitely not on MY buy list this year…
Crimson Warrior - 07.10.07 10:57 am
dee-lite, blondie, kool, hammer, culture club, b-52’s, cyndi lauper = good
but that’s about it. daft punk and some of the others are cool too, but the songs are pretty lame.
N Rumas - 07.10.07 11:02 am
I don’t know, they all seem to fit the style the game is going for. I’m not sure what anyone was expecting there.
Tony - 07.10.07 11:21 am
No Dancing Queen or Stayin’ Alive?!?!
For shame…
DCSimian - 07.10.07 11:30 am
Daft Punk is all I needed to read. I’m mos def buying this game.
VEKTRON - 07.10.07 11:31 am
Britney Spears?!? I’m not buying this game. Daft Punk would’ve made up for it if it was just one Britney Spears song.
luet - 07.10.07 11:38 am
SHIRO786, I recommend doing some homework. This is not Bemani.
Nohbdy - 07.10.07 11:42 am
Hm, I would’ve bought this game, but I’ve recently decided to buy one of those all-in-the-mic karaoke machines with 2000+ songs. Sure, their MIDI quality, but when you’re drunk, it doesn’t matter as long as you’ve got some Journey, Boston, and Queen.
supadude5000 - 07.10.07 11:46 am
Also, that’s 37 songs, not 35.
Nohbdy - 07.10.07 11:49 am
Canned Heat? Oh hell yes.
Tirade - 07.10.07 12:09 pm
Canned Heat? Oh hell yes.
Tirade - 07.10.07 12:09 pm
Better than the EBA track list.
Matthew - 07.10.07 12:17 pm
awful. Wheres the screeching weasel or mr t experience or groovie ghoulies or queers or riverdales or ramones
JodyAnthony - 07.10.07 12:55 pm
JODYANTHONY, you do realize we will never ever get a punk/powerpop video game, right?
VEKTRON - 07.10.07 12:59 pm
None of them are original tracks? Geez.
NoBullet - 07.10.07 1:02 pm
I refuse to believe that, VEKTRON.
JodyAnthony - 07.10.07 1:04 pm
I would have killed for Idioteque
Steve - 07.10.07 1:09 pm
SHIRO786, I recommend doing some homework. This is not Bemani.
Nohbdy - 07.10.07 11:42 am
Nohbdy, I suggest you go back to grade 3 english class. I clearly said a Bemani/Karoeke style game. Every dancing/music game stemmed off of DDR in the first place, so in that sense, I suggest you do your homework before you blatantly say things like that. kthx.
Shiro786 - 07.10.07 1:18 pm
Ive just noticed, theres quite a few songs on that list that are also on EBA’s list.
raith - 07.10.07 1:20 pm
JODYANTHONY: you do realize this is a dancing game right? Ramones are not exactly prime dancing material.
i was kind of indifferent to this game from the beginning and now after seeing the track list, i am even more indifferent.
kojo87 - 07.10.07 1:36 pm
I dance to the ramones every day.
JodyAnthony - 07.10.07 2:07 pm
I dance to Zoinks! and Boris the Sprinkler twice every friday.
Beansly - 07.10.07 2:16 pm
thats because you are a prince among men.
JodyAnthony - 07.10.07 2:17 pm
This is Rock Band for the Pop set.
And I don’t say that lightly. The combination of singing and dancing, with pop songs, this game is going to be huge this holiday season.
Karmakin - 07.10.07 2:31 pm
What happened to the song from Grease, the one that was in the trailer?
Lapine - 07.10.07 4:07 pm
why the rhcp cover of “roller coaster”…the original is so much better
mikey w - 07.10.07 4:29 pm
Wow, most of this tracklist is the soundtrack to my childhood. I don’t mean “the songs I liked to listen to”…. I mean “the songs on the clock radio that woke me up at 6 in the morning.” Hearing “Le Freak” and “Brick House” and “Boogie Oogie Oogie” again is probably going to put the taste of pop-tarts in my mouth. Dunno whether that’s good or bad.
As for the stuff from after I hit adolescence, I’m glad to see Cyndi Lauper showing up in another game, and “Karma Chameleon” is always nice, but to be honest I knew I was buying it as soon as I saw “Groove Is In The Heart”. (Which IS actually one of the songs I liked to listen to, enough to buy the CD, and still do.) If the game ruins the song for me, well, serves me right.
raindog - 07.10.07 5:35 pm
Ugh. it’s like a soundtrack to an under fifteens disco.
Seriously, this need more music for everyone, not just the kids.
Toby Danger - 07.10.07 5:39 pm
I think between Fergie, Britney Spears and Pink, I feel like the Anti-Christ itself assembled this soundtrack.
Blue Falcon - 07.10.07 5:50 pm
Jesus. SO many people whining about the track. It’s like with EBA. Were all the songs stellar. ‘Course not. But I dare you to try to listening to most of the tracks from DDR outta context with the game and say that those are good songs.
The game is trying to appeal to the largest common denominator. As such, stinkers like Fergie, Brittney Spears, Avril Lavigne, and the rest of those hell spawns will undoubtedly show up in ANY rythm game (excluding perhaps Guitar Hero, which btw, is targeting a niche audience) at least with one track. That doesn’t necessarily mean the game will be any more or any less fun. Just don’t do the songs unless you have to. Man.
Besides, Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, K.C. and the Sunshine Band and ABC by the Jackson 5 is enough to please me.
ANYWAY, my defense of the game aside, I probably won’t buy it anyway. If it’s REALLY damn fun and gets great reviews, perhaps, but in the mean time the only game in this genre I really enjoy is EBA. I got bored with DDR some time ago, and that and Donkey Konga were the only other two I tried.
…And I just suck at Guitar Hero, so I don’t even bother.
OOF - 07.10.07 6:32 pm
Side note: I prefered RHCP’s cover of Roller Coaster of Love much more to the original. Original was kinda bland to me honestly. Though I was surprised they picked the cover over the original.
OOF - 07.10.07 6:34 pm
It needs like 30 more songs. Maybe some Prince or The Killers.
mizzle - 07.10.07 8:24 pm

I’m quite undecided about whether or not purchase this game. On one hand it has a collection of excellent songs- Love Rollercoaster, U Can’t Touch This, One More Time, Walking on Sunshine (most of which I know the lyrics to, BTW)- and songs comprised of pure evil- Fergalicious, Milkshake.
On a side note, it is evident that EA is putting a bunch of money into this game, that’s a lot of licensing. Unless they redo the songs like in Donkey Konga 1, hooray studio artists!
Cheeseball701 - 07.11.07 4:00 am
The thing that kinda bugs me about that track list is that probably more than half of them are already on the PS2 singstar games… Yeah, there’s a lot of variety within the game, but if anyone has played singstar to death, there’s only about half a tracklist of novelty. And when they’re spreading the genres so thin, that’s even less that you’d actually -want- to sing…
