A blogger named “Grownup Gamer” is putting a new spin on the typical videogame blog by making his way through the entire Legend of Zelda series and documenting the entire thing. Grownup Gamer is going through the Zelda games chronologically and writes about each leg in pretty exhausting detail.
Thus far the blog only covers the entirety of the second Legend of Zelda for the NES and surprisingly, it’s a compelling read. It is written well and feels a lot like the daily journal of Link. Although I’m sure Link’s actual blog would consist solely of ellipses.

This is kind of coincidental since I’m replaying through Majora’s Mask right now and I plan to play through Wind Waker too in preparation for the release of the sequel. However, I still have never beaten the first two zelda games, maybe I’ll try once again.

Link went on to endless fame and notoriety, while Pit faded into obscurity. He was last seen clutching a half empty amphora of wine and yelling “Where are my sequels, man? Where are my 3D rendered adventures?” …so sad, so very sad.

There’s been a lot of these popping up ever since “Blogging Ultima” came around. Not that it’s a bad thing; just the opposite: it’s neat seeing how both the series changed and how the person’s experiences unfold. Also seeing if the experiences from playing the games back to back are significantly different than having played the games one at a time over the years.

My husband and I have been doing something similar to this for a while, although we got a slow start…ours is doing Resident Evil and Final Fantasy, and I don’t think is going to be quite as comprehensive.

I just wished he could write some short summaries once in a while. Its just too much to read now I think.
By the way while seeing that picture with all the Links in it, the original Game Boy-version is in my opinion probably the best-looking one.

I found this one a few months back:
http://www.gamingtales.com/finalfantasy/
Someone playing through all the Final Fantasy’s, who never has before, in Japanese to help him relearn the language.
