The Iron Man suit was revealed last week to much applause. However, many people began to wonder whether this was the actual suit or just a really sweet render. Wonder no more. IESB and it’s loyal group of spies has the pics to prove that this baby is real.
The following links contain spy shots on the Iron Man set and quite a few possible spoilers.

I, AM, IRONMAN! FTW!

Sweet. Glad to see they’re definetly going to incorporate stuff that ISN’T CG. I like all the costumes that this is getting. Very nice.
And what’s with all the bashing on Spider-Man 3? I thought it was the best one. Sure, it had it’s downfalls, namely Emo-Spidey, and the fact that craming all three villians meant none of them got the screen time they deserved, but overall I thought it was alot better than the first two, which is saying something, considering how good they were.

better than the 2nd one? are you kidding?

I don’t care as much how the suit looks. I just want to know if Tony Stark will be a raging alcoholic in the movie version.

I have to admit, the suit looks rad! And it’s good to hear that it probably won’t be all CGI. As far as Stark, we’ll probably see alcoholic Tony as Downey said something about using his personal battles with drug addiction to reflect on the character. I was hesitant about the film and I’ve never been a huge fan of Iron Man, but it’s shaping up nicely!

Really cool design. So glad it’s a suit!! You can add all the CG you wan’t (and granted, it makes for some really cool action sequences…no doubt this movie will have some of that anyway a-la spiderman)
And for some reason I never thought Iron Man was very cool until now. Love the round chest light.

@Catz: No, I’m not kidding. I was kinda dissapointed in the second one honestly. My friends and I actually went MST3K on it through most of the movie. And I’m still pretty convinced you can’t drown a sun.
@SilkyLove: Ummm…that’s an odd thing to care about…but I imagine it’ll come up, since if nothing else, it DOES make for some good character development.
@Nammsorg: Yeah, actually, Iron Man was always kinda low on my list of heroes until recently. This movie has piqued my interest.

1. I loved Spidey 3. And as I keep reminding people - Spidey has always been “emo.”
2. I’m interested in this movie. But it’s still worth saying: Iron Man is a jerk.

That’s a good looking Iron Man suit. Thanks for putting the pic up Nick.

@OOF Why is that an odd thing to care about? I like my heroes with warts and all shown. Vanilla heroes with vanilla problems like Peter Parker and Clark Kent are boring and unsympathetic to me. For example, one of the main reasons why House MD is such a great TV show is that they deal realistically with House’s addiction to pain medication without demonizing him for it. It humanizes him. Engaging Tony Stark’s alcoholism will do the same. Also by bringing the alcoholism to the big screen and addressing it they can shed more light on a serous illness that millions of people suffer from, usually in silence.
