It looks like Wario and Nights are good friends, because in this game you’ll be able to wear different masks to change into different things. This includes a dolphin mask to change into a dolphin, which will let you visit the depths of the water, and a rocket mask, which will make you go faster.
The game will propose to the player two types of controls:
- Wiimote only for a more immersive way to play the game.
- Nunchuck and Wiimote combo for a more retro feeling.

As always:

good stuff.

Those graphics are pretty blocky…
I doubt it would really retract from the experience, but still… they just look kinda lazy.

@Donald - I’m guessing they’ll polish it later in development, well I hope they do. But the game really does look amazing.
@Kidd - hehe, yeah I always do the translating of that site for my post huh?

Need to refine the number of polygons; so far it looks like a skinned Mario 64.

As a member of the “graphics don’t matter” brigade, I feel the need to restate my case. Graphics don’t matter, art direction matters a lot. This game is a mess.

“As a member of the “graphics don’t matter” brigade, I feel the need to restate my case. Graphics don’t matter, art direction matters a lot. This game is a mess.” Art direction and graphics go hand in hand. Sure, you don’t need a super-powerful machine to get a good looking game, but EVERYTHING benefits from higher resolution, better AA-ing possibilities, and the possibilites to create more and more detailed models (and bigger textures). Graphics dont’ define a game, but you CAN’T say graphics don’t matter. Videogames are a graphic media.
Anyway, I think the graphics look like shit. They look like dreamcast graphics… which were alright for their time, but the Wii is capable of MUCH more detail than THAT.

These may be in-game graphics but its certainly not the finished product. No rings, loops, spins, tricks, overhead perspective levels, obstacles, or any enemies whatsoever. The environments look completely blank.
Personally I am less concerned with the graphics and more concerned with the animation.
Panzer Dragoon Orta (xbox) was fantastic. I view Nights as a very similar outting. They’re resurrection a good game, giving it a great level of interactivity and the graphics no doubt will be fantastic. Seeing blank level designs don’t scare me.

This game hasn’t been released yet - that isn’t what the game is going to look like.

And besides, for those who haven’t played the original you should not be commenting LOL

I loved the original game w/ a passion,
so much. NiGHTS and reala are my favourite game characters ever, and the original game wowed me in many ways,
and I’ll be happy to see my fav characters and world in any context, so
I’ll be more than happy to shell out 60$ for my 11 year wait for the sequel
