With the inclusion of a fourth day, we all knew that the Tokyo Game Show would be insane this year. What we weren’t counting on was Nintendo’s involvement. The “Big N” has never had a booth at TGS. They have always held their own shows instead. However, they have apparently signed up for one of the largest booths this year.
Why switch now? Kotaku claims that Dragon Quest IX is the reason. The DS exclusive will be released late this year to a hungry Japanese public, and the Tokyo Game Show would be the perfect venue to preview it. To avoid some of the hours-long lines that plagued the last E3, the Dragon Quest IX demo will be made available through DS Download Play.
More details are expected over the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’m going to figure out how to raise enough money to go.

I want a DQIX demo
