Whiteout Movie Filming
I’m usually on top of my movie news. Even more so if it’s a comic related movie. Somehow I managed to miss the news of the Whiteout movie though. Which is doubly embarrassing considering that not only is Whiteout, by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber, one of my all time favorite comics, but also one of the classic graphic novels that really got me into comics.
Apparently, it was originally Reese Witherspoon who was to take the lead role as the hard boiled U.S. Marshall by the name of Carrie Stetko. However, plans changed and now Kate Beckinsale will play Carrie. Should be interesting, as Carrie is a tough and fully developed character. Hopefully all goes well and we see a follow-up based on the sequel; Whiteout: Melt.
