Hello Player 1

SEGA fans rejoice! SEGA of America has just announced a slew of Virtual Console titles to be released on the Wii in the upcoming weeks.
“The Wii Shop Channel is a great avenue for gamers who want instant access to classic SEGA Genesis titles,” said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America. “Legendary titles such as Sword of Vermilion, Vectorman, Sonic Spinball and Beyond Oasis are a perfect fit for this platform.”
While this may seem like the most bizarre selection of games, cult classics like these will surely warm the heart of many SEGA-holics around the world and introduce the Nintendo fanbase like myself to some of the best SEGA games of the past. Since I don’t know much about these titles, here’s what the rest of the staff had to say about them:
Vectorman is awesome! And I salivated over the Beyond Oasis screens back in the day. Of course, at the time I was too much of a fanboy to ever play a Sega game. But now I know better. -Nick
Sonic Spinball is the greatest Sonic game ever made. Even better than Sonic CD. -Jody
Son of a [bum]! The guys in my post were JUST talking about this. This is great! -Mitch
Excitement at its best. SEGA, keep doing “what Nintendon’t” and I’m sure we’ll have a fantastic library of Virtual Console games in no time.
